up early! let’s get some work done on this thesis, shall we?
i passed my thesis defense!! thank u all for the luck and well wishes :D
i defend my thesis tomorrow! :o the final thesis update! so crazy! i’m so thankful for this blog and all of my mutuals for cheering me on <3
crazy to think that next it’ll be dissertation updates :’)
i defend my thesis proposal in six days! instead of succumbing to anxiety, i’m striving to be very conscious and intentional with my time until then. i never realized how intense the thesis process would be until now. wish me luck! and i’ll keep you all updated ~
(all i want to do is continue with my read of the lord of the rings)
i did a ton of thesis work today, specifically on my thesis proposal, and it caused me to be super reflective. thought i'd share it here! :-)
always always always use an outline rather than a blank document. i know this but for some reason, began writing in an empty document. i was so overwhelmed! structure is good, even if it changes as you write (it will)
i am so lucky and privileged that i spend my days researching and writing. it's a dream come true and quite literally my ancestor's wildest dreams. i keep thinking about the fact that many of my ancestors did not have access (and were forbidden) to reading and writing, and now look at me!
the goal isn't to have a perfect draft but a written draft!
listened to chappell roan while i worked on the thesis!
met with my thesis advisor! and decided to greatly narrow my topic, which means i have another week to work on my intro chapter. writing a thesis is so hard!
listening to 80s dark wave while working on the thesis!
