A gradblr introduction 🎤👋
Hey there, internet, and welcome to this li'l blog.
This studyblr / gradblr is dedicated to tracking my progress towards completing my master's thesis, which is due in about 100 days, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reasons for starting this studyblr:
I've finished all the course work for my master's degree (woohoo!), but I am completing my thesis over Summer 2020... completing it from the isolated comfort of my own apartment, thanks to COVID-19!
In addition to my thesis being my full-time job, my side hustle at the moment is applying to Real Adult Jobs.
The very, very unstructured summer ahead is daunting and scary. So I hope to inject a bit more routine into the listless days on the horizon.
Mo, 26, she/her. (I think this makes me ~quite old~ for Tumblr)
Master's student in environmental science, at an Ivy-league university in the Northeast US.
Goals for the next 3-ish months:
Every day for 100 days, post short text or a photo on this blog illustrating one way in which I've "moved a project forward.” I’ve become a huge fan of the Move Every Project Forward Every Day (MEPFED) model, described in this blog post, and I want to implement it!
As a minor goal, use my posts to illustrate that academia is NOT glamorous or aesthetic a LOT of the time... but this is okay. In fact, it’s downright normal.
