I stumbled across The Smiles on The Kollection's finals playlist. Their song Cala Cola is mellow but has a bright, sweet sound. I can always appreciate some good indie. What interested me even more was the setup of their website, which allows you to "name your price" for the mp3 download of their album, to which there is no set minimum (it's essentially free). They also offer their physical EP for $8, so along with the option to pay for the mp3s they actually have a chance at making money on their music, possibly from reformed illegal downloaders?
