NEW MUSIC RELEASE!!!🚨🚨🚨@nikkibrooksmusic NEW MUSIC RELEASE!!!🚨🚨🚨 Soca Songstress Nikki Brooks who originates from the gorgeous island of St. Croix is back with her sophomore album RYZE for the world to hear. So let’s get familiar folks!!!! With most of her fan base already throughout the Caribbean, Canada and England, Ms. Brooks’ wish is to have her music spread worldwide and on a much larger platform. She's a Powerhouse that can not only sing beautifully but also put on a high energy performance to back up those vocals. If you've ever had the opportunity to catch her live shows, then you know her stage presence is contagious. RYZE is a mixture of fast pace, jump and wine and all around sweet Soca music. There is something on there for everyone, believe me. Nikki's first album "Know Me Now" released back in 2016 with seven tracks. The new album gifts us with 10 new tracks that shows how the artist has elevated her sound. I recently had the opportunity to chat with her about her new release. Growth from the last album: "As an Artist I have grown a whole lot! Lol first is not trusting everyone you meet. I had to learn this the hard way in the entertainment world people tend to do with you as they like if you let them. I had to put on my grownup undies and take back control of what is mines.. God has Blessed me and I am Grateful for the many lessons I have learned in the beginning. Now I have the final say and I am Loving the Team I have that has shown me, what it is to have real support" Collaboration with Trinidadian producer Dynce: "Dynce and I say we share one dream and at times I will tell him a story and we will stay up talking via WhatsApp and we came to the realization that we are sharing the same soul when it comes to music" Inspiration behind her most personal album yet: "The inspiration for the album came about after know me now (1st album).. That was my reintroduction back in the music scene after being out for more than 10 years. While doing that album I learned how the game has changed so much. The kind of music that was done years ago while I was singing with several bands has changed so much. I missed the feel good music... like when you’re having a bad day and you use to hear a sweet Soca song that takes you to a place that just makes you feel good. Soca is a Caribbean Thing! One Caribbean.... and ah feel like if we act as one our music can cross the lines and have more people loving our passion for history." Having local support: "The Soca scene in St Croix is hard... We tend to not support our Local Artist! We have a Lot of talented artist here. In time I believe it will be different. But I am always on my Grind! I am Grateful to my fans here and abroad." Aspiration for her new album: "What I want to accomplish this time is getting my music more out there for the world to hear.. and to feel good when they hear my songs it can take them to a happy place." Nikki is an artist unafraid to keep it 100% real and in today’s industry we need more artist like her. With her longevity in the music industry, she’s proven that she can not only adapt to the changes in time but still stay true to herself. She’s able to translate her passion for the culture and convey her message throughout her music. We have so much talent in the Caribbean, artists who are unheard but are hidden gems just waiting for their turn and paying their dues. I’d like to consider Nikki Brooks one of those gems who are underrated and immensely talented. Some of my personal favorites off the album are “Go Live”, “Ooh Nah Nah” and “100 Years Strong”.
