Rick was shocked to see Beth after so long. To think she would have ended at the CRM like him- after so many attempts to escape, he had lost all hope he would ever see anyone from his family again.

And there she was.

"The end...of everything? What...do you mean exactly? Alexandria? Did Alexandria...?"

There was despair and panic growing inside him.

He wanted to hug her, but he couldn't- he wanted to cry, but he couldn't.

Just the shock, the idea everyone he loved could be...gone. Forever. And he wasn't there. He couldn't be.

Rick froze when he felt the soft caresses in his curls. He had been cleaning the guns and mounting them, organizing the pieces and ammo. He looked back to see Beth, widening his eyes in surprise. "Oh hey. I still hadn't seen you today. How are you doing?"

She was toying with his hair...how unusual. The tickles that caused him, almost made him blush. He took his hand and took to his hair, touching the back of his head. His eyes were a bit confused, even though he spoke as things were normal.
