Cindy if you see this ily (more).
I would like to take this moment to thank Cindy Nguyen for teaching me that you can hold down alt and click the reblog button to click something, truly life-altering stuff
omg i'm skyping cindy and it's the first time i've used skype in a really long time and it's lots of feels
feeling bad for not having seen your daily summaries before but i read the first one and then the one for yesterday bc i knew i'd be mentioned in both and that was cool and I'm glad you're doing this now and imma catch up on reading all of them later on today but i just wanted to tell you that you're doing it right and I'm so proud. just like you're proud of teaching me something. I'm proud of getting you to do this wooooooooooooooooooo gonna keep going until character limit woooooo aw yeeeeahhh
I'm proud you're proud! btw that thing I toldja bout is called a contraction mapping and also the coffee was yirgacheffe coffee! I'm already cookin' up ur next math lesson~~
this feels dumb
thespongefish essentially told me to hop on this bandwagon so I guess I might as well...woo documenting each day (I did always wanna keep a journal, but I always fell off lol)
not really sure how it starts so uh
MATH 4200
this class was excellent today. we got a handout showing the grade distribution for that first exam and my 99% ties me for third/fourth place, hell yeah! there was a...good chunk below 60...some in the mid-thirties...scary! since, I mean, everything we're gonna do soon just builds off that stuff and more so if someone doesn't get that locked down, it'll just get more difficult. anyway, Dr. M introduced the idea of homomorphisms and isomorphisms today and this stuff is not only really cool, but imo pretty easy to grasp! I haven't looked at the hw yet but I feel it'll be fun, lol
MATH 4031
I'm usually so tired during this class, but I actually stayed awake a decent amount! we went over open covers today and I'll...probably need to review it just to make sure I got it? Dr. R made a big deal emphasizing that the open cover is not a single set or a union of sets, it's a collection of sets, the union of which fulfills blablabla property so that sounds like it's important (like I think the distinction is pretty clear in hindsight but if he was so insistent there's probably something deeper I just didn't notice lol)
ASTR 1101
autumnal equinox tonight! that's pretty great! we talked about that then went over some history; Galileo, telescopes, scientific method blablabla. I really like the class but it can get a little...simple sometimes? like, it feels we'll do the same thing over..and over...and over...but it's still all cool!
LATN 2066
hahahaha test today! it was excellent, I finished in...well, I forgot, but it was...quite short. like, eleven minutes? I spent the other 9 checking it but yeah I was out in 20 minutes rofl. the sight translation was just...obscene, how much vocab she gave us! like literally every word that was not "et" or "in" or something -- every noun, every verb, all that -- was provided. what's the point in that! lol it wasn't even sight for me since I'd read ahead (or read the section she skipped or wherever it is she got it from). this one guy turned it in in like 5 minutes and lol...prayin4u buddy
that was the end of classes but I then spent like an hour on the MATH 4036 homework due today that I hadn't looked at; it's actually kinda nice that homework for that class isn't (usually) due on the actual day of the class, since I have until the late afternoon to work on it
oh wait no that wasn't the end of classes!
ASTR 1108
this lab was easier than most, lol; just literally click on a screen, get numbers, plug'em in, bam -- out in 20 minutes
okay thespongefish how did I do (yeah I'm mentionin' you twice)
This cd exchange experience with Cindy is literally everything I've ever wanted and it makes me really happy
Graduation practice was exhausting and I'm sure actual graduation will be more so. But Cindy's new hairstyle is so freaking cute I'm in love! Nap time then tedious graduation prep. 😴
