First look my post-wash The Strike Gold jeans this #type3tuesday! Swipe over to see more shots! The color opened up even more after some water! Specs: 15oz brown weft, 165 days, 1 wash. . The jeans were pretty snug to begin with, so I used cold water and Dr. Bronner’s, stretching the denim when it was wet. Finished it up wearing them until half dry. Seriously love the electric blue fades on my The Strike Gold jeans. The brown weft on this 5209 model makes itself known in the cuffs and the worn areas where the warp threads have gone. Check the back pocket rivets and rear belt loops! Happy #selvedgesunday, my friends.
I put some wear on my The Strike Gold 5209’s the last few days in Vancouver, and love how the texture pops outdoors as the brown weft denim fades. Anyways, I’m happy to now be back home in Texas, despite the wind and rains from the hurricane. . Also, it’s going on 2 months now on my vegtan @rhleatherworks Barton wallet. The funny story about the indigo crocking - I came across snow while hiking in Lassen Volcanic National Park, and couldn’t resist sliding down a slope in my jorts.
