6.3.2017 10:05 AM: Okay let’s be honest, the only pretty stuff I’ve been working on lately has been Spanish. But I need to find a notebook that I can draw ASL signs in.
I had a busy day yesterday, so I’ve already failed my goal not to miss a day of the June SC.
Jun 2. What goals do you have for this month?
- get my massive to do list done for chores
- get my massive to do list done for other stuff I have to do
- completely finish reviewing all my Spanish class notes and start taking notes using studyblr resources
- finish at least 3 books (squints at The Rebel angrily... I will finish you)
Jun 3. What keeps you motivated at the end of the school year?
Honestly? The relief that it’ll be over and the anxiety of failing. But I’m pretty sure without the encouragement and motivation from the studyblr community I wouldn’t have passed them all so well this year.
HEY so like how would u grid on paper thanks lol( like for realistic drawing)
uhhh ok so I’m sorry this couldn’t be like a proper example with images and all because I’m in uni rn but the main idea is this:
If you’re using a digital image as a ref, split it into a grid of squares (it doesn’t have to be squares per se but I prefer working with squares) I’m sure you can find a website to do it for u but I usually just end up doing it myself in photoshop. Make sure they’re not too big or it’ll make judging distances between points harder. You can also print it out and draw a grid on top if you prefer working with the physical image next to you
Draw a frame on the paper you’ll be doing the drawing on. Make sure it’s the same length:width ratio as your reference image. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same size, as long as it’s the same ratio.
Split this frame into the same amount of squares as your reference image (e.g if your reference image is like 8x12 squares, your frame should also be split into 8x12 squares) make sure to use very light pencil lines for the grids, or it’ll make erasing the grid later on hard
Now it’s time to draw! looking at each square, take note of where each line/shape starts and ends within the square and draw it accordingly. Make sure to stay aware of nearby squares tho, or the image will turn out looking a bit like a mosaic instead lol. The idea of grids is to make it so that there’s less room for the entire image to deviate too much from the original ref you feel, it’s like reading a map with all the squares but like with a ref I guess haha
Sorry this is a bit of a mess but I hope it helped? I’ll make a proper tutorial after my exams if anyone would still like me to explain it but yeah 👉👉
help! i'm going to annotate a book for my summer reading and I needed to know what highlighters you would recommend to highlight on book pages!
check out this great guide from jetpens! way more comprehensive than anything i could come up with
Finally posting my first bullet journal spreads!!! 🌿this weeks theme is statues and plants🌿 hope you like it!! i'll be posting the key and yearly spread soon!! 🐝🐝
Hi!
My name is Kiwi. I just joined the studyblr community and I am so excited!
The reason why I am joining the studyblr community is because ill be a freshman next year and I want to stay motivated and organized. And what better way than joining the studyblr community.
I’ll be posting original content like my bujo spreads, stationery, notes, tips, etc. I’ll also be reposting content from other studyblrs.
A bit about me!
I am 14 and I just graduated from 8th grade. here are a couple of classes I know I’ll be taking next year: AP World History, Integrated Math 1 ( Adv. math) and Chinese.
I love to read. I usually read 1 book in a span from 2-3 days.
I am Mexican- American, both of my parents are from Mexico but I have lived in the states my whole life.
My favorite stationary is from Muji.
I love the fine arts. I play the ukelele, violin, and double bass. I also draw a lot. I would like to major in graphic design.
My favorite studyblrs are:
@studyign // @studyquill // @tbhstudying // @kankenstudies // @izzystudies // @hannhstudies
I would love to get to know other studyblrs so please repost and ill follow you guys back!
6.7.2017 8:23 PM: I just got my new pairs of glasses! 😍 Here’s the pair I plan on wearing on a daily basis, ft. The Rebel by Albert Camus which I hope to finally finish tonight. I have been awake since 7 AM. I went to the dentist, and got news that I am cavity-free, but I have wisdom teeth that are causing my teeth sensitivity and I need to get them out within a year. It’s not a rush because they’re coming in at an outward angle instead of sideways. My physical went well, and then I got these! It is so amazing to see through clean, correct-prescription glasses. I have depth perception again! It’s so interesting and I am so grateful for the little things.
Jun 7. What’s your best feature (personality wise)?
My willingness to learn and change! Even if I have trouble grasping a concept, I’m willing to work harder to understand or admit that it’s beyond me.
🌿bujo spread for last week🌿
