TheSyndra is determined to kill me with her unique concepts. First it was “Stoplight Party” with sub!Anna being the one in control and coaxing innocent Elsa into domhood, then “Couldn’t Wait For You” with autistic!Elsa trying to make head and tail of her attraction for Anna, then “Under starry skies we’re lost” with accidental soulmating. And now, corpse!Anna trying to figure out her murderer with the help of necromancer!Elsa. None of these ideas sound that groundbreaking, but their ingenuity lies in the execution. That is, rather than the usual dwelling into romance/angst/action/fantasy, the focus is on exploring the interesting mentality of the protagonist, keeping the motive of their love interest somewhat unknown, the fics are warm yet serious. In other words, psychological, fluff, and healthily unpredictable. TheSyndra is a genius in adorable and clever dialogue too. I don’t know if the author is in psychology-related fields or not, but she definitely knows what she’s talking about, yet never turning her fics into technical info dump. The only thing I grieve is how most of her long fics might or might never finish.
