Read me a story! [the-tech-nerd]
The six--no, seven year old balanced from the tips of her toes, two hands on the shelf keeping her upright as she peered at the line-up of books. Martina had gotten bored of the thinner books that could fit on her lap in the children’s section, although the pictures were very nice, so she had wandered over to the other section, where she found titles like Fancy Nancy and Nate the Great. Skimming over the titles, she finally picked and settled down on the floor (where the fluffy carpet was, of course) to read. Her brows furrowed as she tried to read silently, stumbling over some words; eventually, she gave up and began to read aloud. “...the Rabbit act-tu-ally took a watch out of its... waa... why... waist..coat-pocket...”
