Day 36. 1.20pm. 5C/41F. Things We Don’t See - Part II.
According to the Dutch National Health Institute, I can breathe safely today. The air quality in my local area is measured as ‘sufficient’. If I walk 2 miles west however, the quality will be ‘insufficient’.
It’s a relief to know I’m in the right place, at the right time, and I don’t have to worry too much about co2, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, particulate matter, radioactive pollutants, and ammonia, just to name a few. I straighten my back, spread my arms and take another extra deep breath. You never know what the air will bring tomorrow.
