[The unforgettable Fire] [U2] [1984] [LP] After their third album "U2" feared to be labelled as pure rock heroes as well as commercial "mainstream" and therefore searched for new ways to give more space to their joy of experimentation as well as the sympathy for ambient sounds and a higher artistic claim. . After a long search and a lot of back and forth, the band decided to use Brian Eno, who had long been admired by "The Edge", as their producer. Brian Eno was not very enthusiastic about the idea at first. In the end, "U2" were able to clear Brian Eno's doubts with their power of persuasion. This opened the way for a sound that had never been heard before and that became the trademark of "U2". . Without Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois this extraordinary album "The Unforgettable Fire" would never have existed with absolute certainty. Many so-called experts doubted beforehand that anything useful would come out of this production. As we know, all these skeptics were proven wrong. "The Unforgettable Fire" can be counted without a doubt to the most important album of "U2". . It is also one of the most important albums in popular music. . There are many positive and negative reviews about the music itself. Regardless of the social and political credibility of the band, the great artistic quality of this album is completely unquestionable. Even though this album has brought the band even greater commercialism, it is not purely commercial music. "U2" have always sought and found new ways, made a lot of money and still produced really good music with high artistic standards. . . . . .
