Day six: What does Christmas mean to you? How would you define Christmas to child and how does it differ from the actual definition of Christmas? How would you describe Christmas at The Valleys or what exceptions do you have to celebrate the holiday here?
meaning of christmas
Christmas means a day to spend with friends and celebrate. As a kid it was just a day I got presents and spent mostly with my mom, now I realize how twisted that definition was because Christmas isn’t about the presents, at all. Christmas at the Valleys will be interesting to say the least, definitely different than the other Christmases I’ve experienced but I never know what to expect from this show so I can’t say.
Day six: What does Christmas mean to you? How would you define Christmas to child and how does it differ from the actual definition of Christmas? How would you describe Christmas at The Valleys or what exceptions do you have to celebrate the holiday here?
Day 5 - Describe your social circle. Do you have one best friend or several? Do you prefer a wide group of friends or a small intimate one? What is the typical night for your group of friends and where is your trademark spot? (Eg - 'Friends' are always seen in Central Perk'). Where did you meet your best friend and how did your friendship spark up? What is your favorite memory with your best friends/group of friends and your least favorite? How has joining the show affect your friendship with them?
Please note; Link pictures where possible and answer IC. Use the tag ‘thevalleysxmas’.
Day 4 - What are your parents like? Were you raised by them or with relatives/ adoptive parents/ other? Do you have siblings and are you close with them? Is there any disputes within your family and extended family? Tell us about six family members that you interact with most (This can include cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents). How did joining The Valleys affect your family?
FAMILY
My parents? I don’t actually know how to explain them, I’m be biased because of my experiences with them, but they aren’t great people. My mom, I thought she was, I looked up to her for years, I thought she was the strongest person, the smartest person, the best person. But when times got tough, she took the easy way out. And that ‘easy way’ wasn’t exactly easy on me. My dad had left, leaving divorce papers on the counter in his wake. But a year later, he decided he wanted custody of me. And before the case even reached court, my mom just said okay and shipped me across the country.
My father isn’t any better than her, he’s definitely worse. He didn’t know how to deal with anger, so he made me his punching bag... for five years. Once I could afford to get out, I did. But he is the only family I have, my dad doesn’t have siblings and I don’t even know my mom’s side of the family.
Joining The Valleys didn’t really affect my family. But it did affect me, I realized just how much I shouldn’t have put up with him, how a life can be without living with someone who doesn’t want you and it is so much better.
