VALLEY TASK #019: Snapchat Takeover

Social media is a never ending craze that widens it platform from month to month. As one of MTV’s biggest and longest running reality show, we always look for new ways of promoting ‘The Valleys’ through media sectors and now it’s your time to help! Whether you’re a day drinker, gym goer, aesthetic queen or your average sloth, we want you to take over The Valleys snapchat and give your admiring fans an insight to your every day lives! Currently on the show or away due to personal reasons, we encourage you to show the world what your life entails ! Our snapchat, ”mtvthevalleys” will be taken over by each cast member and are required to post eight to twenty snaps before the 4th of May ! You can post pictures of yourself, your surroundings, loved ones or pets, but you must add their snapchat name (if they have one) and add captions. Only two snapchats don’t require captions !

The deadline for this task is May 4th. An example of the snaps can be found below. A link to make snapchat caption pictures can be found here. You must use the tag ‘thevalleyssnapchat: ‘insert name’ (ex: thevalleyssnapchat: laura). LIKE ONCE SEEN, PLEASE.

the valleys cast packed up and were taken to london’s heathrow around 11pm, thursday night. with the delays and whatnot, they arrived safely in the dominican republic around 10am.

the producers have booked around seventeen hotel rooms in punta cana’s sanctuary cap cana for adults only.

things to do in punta cana

we’re encouraging everyone to get out and explore punta cana by covering every last expense. some of the things our cast can get up to are heading to hard rock’s casino for a night, taking safari tours, ziplining through punta cana, surfing, snorkeling, diving, clubbing at coco bongo, etc. (NOTE: random group chat events are allowed and encouraged at any time of the day and can be started by anyone)

VALLEY TASK #018: Playlist

Not only are you rooming with a massive band and some well-experienced songwriters, but our footage shows just how involved with music our cast truly is ! Whether it’s jamming to the tunes a DJ is throwing out, relaxing in your room with headphones shoved in, or selecting the perfect song to get you pumped for a work out, we’re well aware of how much The Valleys cast loves to listen ! And they’re not the only ones ! Our viewers are just as interested as to what’s made your ”London Edition” of The Valley’s Playlist, so we’ve come up with a few questions to help build the perfect jam sesh’ !

week long event: trip to punta cana !!

PRODUCERS MESSAGE-- Since our arrival in London, we’ve been hearing endless moans and groans. Whether it be the weather, the city, or the atmosphere of the house, our members seem to be displeased. With that being said, we decided that a small holiday was in order. Next Friday, the Valleys task is going on holiday to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic! We pulled together a few strings and made some hotel reservations in one of Punta Cana’s finest resorts. It’s a chance for cast members to relax, unplug, and reap the benefits of the warm weather. We’ll be sending out tickets to those present in the house sometime this week, so get packing. The flight takes off Friday the 18th @ 7am GMT.

London Fashion Week - Day One(Monday);

At 8pm GMT/3pm EST, six cast members will take part in a photoshoot for a various selection of fashion designers. Cast mates will have to mingle together to carry out poses, show off their style while one cast member will be directing them and take on the role of photographer. If you are available at that time for at least an hour please like this post. You will receive a message tomorrow if you were among the first five to like the post and have made the list to take part in the event before a shortlist will be posted.

Day 5 - Describe your social circle. Do you have one best friend or several? Do you prefer a wide group of friends or a small intimate one? What is the typical night for your group of friends and where is your trademark spot? (Eg - 'Friends' are always seen in Central Perk'). Where did you meet your best friend and how did your friendship spark up? What is your favorite memory with your best friends/group of friends and your least favorite? How has joining the show affect your friendship with them?

Is there any disputes within your family and extended family? Tell us about six family members that you interact with most (This can include cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents). How did joining The Valleys affect your family?

What did they major in university and what was their dorm/housing like? Did they graduate university, drop out or are they still aspiring to discover what they want to do? If your character didn't go to university what did they do instead? Do they wish to ever attend or go back and if so what will they study?

Twelve Days 'Til Christmas;

This year we have decided to create a character advent calendar leading up to Christmas day. Each day you are required to carry out the follow questions as task however if you can not be on to post please queue them or have it drafted in advance so you can reach it via mobile. You must tag each post as as 'thevalleysxmas' and we will be checking regularly to see if you're taking part or not. You are permitted to miss 4 out of 12 task. Each one must be at least eight lines long, in character and be accompanied by a header or gifs. (If you can't make headers/find one search the FC on tumblr; harry-styles-header). 8/12 days must be completed and if you have any questions please message us instantly.For the first four days we will be posting individual questions however after that a list can be found on this page. Day 1 - What is your characters full name? The reason behind their naming and origins. Example meanings of their name and how they relate to their name. (ie; show similar traits that follow the name, how they don't live up to the name. ect.)

VALLEY TASK: MUSE AND INSPIRATION (MUN TASK)

We all love musings. Who doesn’t like deriving muse and inspiration from their favourite films, series, or books? We’ve all seen or read about characters that remind us of our muses, and this is precisely what this task is all about.

For this task, we’re asking you to choose 2-5 characters that remind you of your muse. It could be a character from a movie, tv series, book series, video-game, etc. Your options are limitless. You could include, for example:

- an incident or two that reminded you of your character - things they have in common with your character - how they inspire you to write your character - gif-sets you derive inspiration from and why

You can go as crazy as you’d like with this task!! It can be as long as you’d like it to be. As a minimum, we’d require at least one short descriptive paragraph for every character. The task will be written OOC, meaning your character is spoken about in third person. The deadline for this task is November 9th. If anyone has any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. The admins will post a sample task very soon if you’re still a little bit confused about the formatting and whatnot.
