“I neve’ agreed to become anothe’ alpha.” Kyle grumbled as he stood outside the cage of the raptors. He was ordered by the higher ups to help Owen with the training of them. Fucking hell he didn’t sign up for this shit. “I don’t see how. They don’t even like me. Blue attacked me remember?”

Kyle snorted as he looked at Owen, who was covered in red sticky stuff. “What the hell?” He asked, raising his eyebrows at him. “Do I even wanna know?” He tilted his head as he looked down at the raptors, looking at them closely. “Was it Blue?”

Kyle winced as he heard the guys screams, they couldn’t do much for him since he got too close to the cage and one of the raptors, Blue, bit his hand off. “It’s ‘is own damn fault.” He said lowly, crossing his arms over his chest, fingers tracing over the scars on his arm from his own run in with the raptors.

Kyle rolled his eyes and pressed his hand against the bleeding claw marks on his arm from getting a little too clue to one of the fucking raptor. It wasn’t his fault since someone pushed him against the cage. He really was going to kill the new guy. “Ya wouldn’a have had to get involved if ya watched yer fuckin’ men.” He snapped before shouldering passed Owen towards his truck.

Kyle looked up at Owen with his eyebrows raised, rubbing his face in his hands. Shield had sent him to keep an eye on Jurassic World and make sure they weren’t doing anything they weren’t supposed to be doing. “Ya ain’t my ma. How are the raptors?” He asked, looking out at the water in front of him as he nursed his beer. He wasn’t excepting to run into Owen, a man from his unit but it was okay with him.

Owen blinked a few times as he stared at the smaller woman standing in front of him. Honestly he hadn’t been expecting for her to have that much steam to let off, or any for that matter.  She just didn’t look… mean enough to actually hit him. “Right. Well, as long as you didn’t break anything, I think we’ll both be fine with you letting off a little steam.”

Emerson let out a long sigh and ran a hand through her dark hair. Things had been so stressful at work lately. Usually she thrived under pressure. She got competitive and eager and flourished in that kind of an environment. There got a be a point where it was just too much though, and she probably would have broken something if she hadn't had the mind to use a little bit of restraint. Suddenly she realized that something like that was a very real possibility. "Wait, I didn't break anything, did I?"
