The Beginning of the Road to Double Jaw Surgery

In 2013, I was a freshman in high school. Sometime in the spring of that year, I had my first appointment and met my surgeon. At this point, my orthodontist had said that even with braces I would need jaw surgery. So basically, at my appt. I was just hoping my surgeon would say I didn't need it but he highly recommended it. But being only 14 or 15 at the time, I had to wait at least 2 years before I could do it because you need to be done growing. So during the span of 2 years, I had both phases of braces and at 16, had my wisdom teeth removed. I also had appointments with my surgeon that grew more frequent as surgery became closer. Those appts. were mainly just x-rays. I'll talk about my pre-op in another post.
