It has been 77 days since The Vindicator got on Instagram, and today we have 500 followers. Thanks. Glad to have you on board.
It would be even better if you bought a newspaper every once in a while, but maybe now is not the time to get into that.
Today, we're just happy that you enjoy seeing what our photographers produce, along with a few of the photos submitted by readers and the occasional goofy mugshot from the jailhouse.
Being such a small outfit, we are fortunate to have so many photographers working with us who really know what they are doing. They are Amanda Jordan, Shonda Dryden, Sean Jones, Robert Ward and Angie Jackson.
It's all the more remarkable because we do not pay them very well at all.
Besides our real photographers, Publisher Jennifer Richardson and Ad Director Kim Marlow have also taken some pretty good photos for the newspaper. Even the editor and the sports guy, Jerry Michalsky, both sometimes manage to get a shot or two in focus.
So, thanks to those of you who follow us on Instagram, and feel free to share whatever you see posted there. And, if you are thinking about subscribing, the newspaper comes very cheaply, $20 for six months. Just saying...
Look for liberty_vindicator on Instagram.
Finally, someone notices.
News photos by Wayne Moody, Kim Marlow, Jennifer Gray and Casey Stinnett (not all winning photos shown here). Sports photos by Robert Ward, Sean Jones and Casey Stinnett. The Vindicator is a 130-year-old weekly published in Liberty, Texas, that just recently made news around the world for getting into a silly spat with Facebook over the Declaration of Independence.
Hey, whoever you are out there in Tumblr land. If you ever lived in Liberty County, Texas, or somewhere nearby, or even once heard of it, and would like to keep up with the goings on here, you can subscribe to The Vindicator online at TheVindicator.com. Or, if you know someone who once lived here and might be interested, please pass this along. If you would like to receive the print edition, it can be delivered by mail anywhere in the U.S. outside of Texas for $50 a year, and delivered anywhere in Texas outside of Liberty County for $45 a year. If you know someone who lives in Liberty County and hasn't managed to escape yet, you can buy that person an annual subscription for only $40. All of this can be done online, or by mailing payment with the name of the recipient and his or her delivery address to The Vindicator, 1939 Trinity Street, Liberty, TX 77575. We have been publishing the news in Liberty, Texas since 1887, and we would very much like to keep doing so, but we need your help to do that.
#TheVindicator seems to have been forgotten on a VHS shelf in the #80s but we dug it up, screened it, and reviewed it 😆 Find out more about this #scifi robo #horror at TheOverlookTheatre.com 💀 #horrornerd #horrorfamily #horrorjunkie #horrormovie #moviereview #filmreview #movies #Thursdayscreening #80shorror #80sscifi #1986 #fantasy #frankenstein
