Had to really deep dive into my social media to find this photo of me and @jamespylemusic circa like 2007 in highschool, matching bowl cuts and all. I was a freshman, he was a senior. This guy was amazing back then. I know at least in part that my practice sessions were with the goal in mind of getting to his level musically. Why is this important? Because last night James took the LAST SPOT on @johnlegend’s team on @nbcthevoice. #BLUECREW give this man some love. This is also where it’s appropriate to talk a little about Judy Taulbee. She was the music teacher at our highschool, and it’s clear she’s been playing the long game with her students, because I can think of a lot of them who went through her classes and are now seeing some success in music/arts.
