He built his Temple like this and named the planet Zash. After himself of course. There is no leftover record about the original species or even the planet’s true name.
SkekZash and the Temple of Void

One of my favourite skeksis oc is SkekZash, the Void Priest.
He is one of the oldest skeksis and one of the Empire’s founders. He created a cult worshiping the dark powers of the universe (the Darkening which is present at every planet with a Crystal). His way to cheat death is to completely replace his flesh with metal and machine. His acolytes go through this process slowly with dedication. The worship of the Void is a way too, because he hopes secretly to gain the good will of the darkness to spare him. He claims the Void is speaking to him. He is a bit crazy as he talks. Despite his dark look he acts funny and light-hearted. The skeksis of the Empire fear him and his acolytes.
