The Watcher: 2013 Fall Cancellations
September is the start of the new fall schedule of TV Shows. Most of them are seasons premieres, some of them are start of a new series. The returnee's were shows like How I Met Your Mother, Glee, Survivor, Amazing Race, Revolution, Once Upon A Time, and so on.
A lot of the new shows have potential but everybody knows they are not going to last. The new shows that premiered in the month of September are The Micheal J Fox Show, The Goldbergs, Dads, Mom, We Are Men, and Brooklyn Nine Nine. Those are the shows that have premiered already. There are still more to come in this month.
Once Upon A Time is getting a spin off show called Once: In Wonderland. Which takes place in Wonderland.
Now some of these shows maybe funny sitcoms but they will not last. The show's Dad, The Goldbergs, Brooklyn 9 9, I did catch and might be funny.
These shows are in competitions with reality shows like; Survivor, X Factor, The Voice, and Amazing Race.
Take The Goldbergs on at 9:00est on Tuesdays that is the same time NBC plays The Voice. The Micheal J Fox show is on the same time as the X Factor. Audiences watch more reality based television now then ever. So new sitcoms shows are not going to last.
Another factor that will contribute to cancellations are the time slots. So shows on at the 9-10:30 slots usually do not last, or the get moved, which dooms them even more.
I predict that Dads, The Goldbergs, Mom, The Micheal J Fox show, We are Men, and Brooklyn Nine Nine will not last the year.
