Rivals and lovers besties :D Clair and Jakie’s personalities and interests may be opposite of each other but the two girls really care about each other a lot. Jakie doesn’t make Clair dress like a girl, Clair knows a really good chocolate dish that Jakie loves, Clair trains Jakie’s daughter and Jakie helps Clair with her own kids.  Their rivalry comes from both of them wanting to be stronger and more helpful to those they care about, including each other.  I love their relationship, I missed it when we had our falling out, no one else could really match the rivalry the chibi Sutaki and Mizuiro share. Jakie rubbed her belly, now starting to show that she was pregnant as Arhiza got ready to leave for his mission.  “Penny for your thoughts, love?” she asked him, noticing that he kept turning his attention back to her while he was getting ready. “Well I’m...” he sighed softly, not really sure how to explain as he approached her. “What if I’m not a good father? Mine wasn’t really the best role model..” Jakie tapped her chin before taking his hands and placing them on her belly. “You’ll be a good father Arhiza, don’t worry about it.” “But how can you be so sure..?” he whispered. She met his gaze, rubbing his hands. “Because, I’m your wife, and will lecture you if you’re a bad father.” Arhiza’s eyes widened a bit before he chuckled and smiled at her. “Aye..that you will.”

She could only stare back as Arhiza gently, yet firmly, held Jakie to the floor, keeping her from treating his injuries. “Arhiza..?” He squeezed her wrists slightly and closed his eyes. “My mission..I had received it four months ago...I was to gain your trust and get what information I could about Dikay before taking you hostage and using you to get him to join us..” His eyes met hers before he continued. “But then I actually met you..and I fell so fast that I couldn’t stop it..Damn it, it made everything so much harder..! I tried to stall, to buy time, hoping that they would give up this mission and spare you harm but they got tired of waiting and acted on their own..” She watched his eyes soften and water as he spoke, yet no tears escaped him. “Why don’t you hate me..? How can you forgive all I’ve done..? The lies, the secrets..using you, how can you forgive all of that and not hate me..?” Jakie was silent as she thought over her answer. Why didn’t she hate him? Any other person in her situation would, yet she didn’t. “Arhiza...I forgave you...because you still protected me from them...when push came to shove, you still stood at my side instead of returning to theirs to save your own skin..You may have lied..and kept things from me..and broke my heart but...I can’t bring myself to hate you..”
