7: What are you most proud of?

Mh, for In the Land of Twilight, I find it hard to narrow down? ^^' I am really proud of the whole WIP, I think. The aesthetics and the feeling it gives me. About all the character motivations and arcs, the theme and its depth, and also of the narrative style.

8: What is your biggest challenge?

The plot! In In the Land of Twilight, the pacing is super slow, it basically has got a lot of filler-episodes. And those all work find but I don't actually... know what really happens later on. The main plot is very very wonky. If you look at it too long it might fall apart, it's very sensitive.

16: What would your characters be for Halloween?

Hypothetically, if there was Halloween in In the Land of Twilight, Decuate would dress up as a day-witch x) Lynx would dress up as a human, Kaya would dress up as a dragon-rider (cause they forgot that they actually are a dragon-rider, my poor child), and Dahlia would dress up as a ghost (very classy with a white bed sheet thrown over herself).

2. What is one thing you absolutely can’t do without in your writing?

Probably magic 😂 there's gotta be one in some form and not just in the setting but as a real skill. I like harder systems than the unpredictable ones. Also heartbreak, but with a happy ending, lots of hurt/comfort and fluff. Platonic relationships and romantic relationships deepening and developing during the story.

4. What clichés do you hate the most?

Big bads that take over the whole story and all focus and priority is on them. Like sure have a plot, but don't sacriface the character interaction, the quite little moments of realization and introspection, the stuff I'm here for. Also for love of everything, let the characters talk things out, instead of storming out because of misunderstandings or because they wouldn't clarify how it really was.😂

12. One thing you are pretty proud of - your style, a work, a scene, a character?

Fuh this is one for positivity 😂 hmm I like the characters? At this point they feel so real that they are talking in my head and I'm getting to know them way more than I'm making them up. They already have their minds made up about everything, they are just waiting for me to figure it out😂and I'm happy about the feeling.

Happy belated STS! What are your favourite character tropes to write? Do any of your protagonists fit in them?

Happy super-duper belated STS! I apologize for how long this ask took to answer, I was kidnapped by time goblins. It happens. Let’s all move on c;

Tropes have always been confusing for me to understand for exactly no reason, I’m just a bit of a dummy. I will say I’m partial to emotion-based magic as a trope? I think there’s a post that describes someone backed into a corner and finally letting themselves go, and it’s just chaos, and I like that :D

Ant from Death is a Silvertongue sort of fits into that, although they mostly just keep their mouth shut so don’t... use their ability lmao. Keaton from wip4 very much does. I’d argue his entire character came about through a dumb visual pun I had and that entire trope.

Happy STS! Which characters can understand each other without speaking, just looking at the other in the eye?

Even when they’re not on good terms with one another, Rosalind and Eliza. They had to hide their three year long romantic relationship from everyone on Eliza’s family ranch when they were younger. This meant lots of subtle facial expressions and hand gestures. 

Even after they broke up and reconnected (where Sisterhood of Blood picks up), they’re the two who would be sitting in church listening to the preacher yell about fire and brimstone while flirting with their quick smirks and stolen glances.

Happy STS! Since it's pride month, which one of your characters would gladly go to a parade? Which one would be more shy about it? Who goes with specific colors/flag/pins?

Kyle and Tybee are there with their shirts off and glitter on, waving and wearing so many flags! Tybee will put on whatever combo of bi/pan, gender noncomforming flags he thinks looks good together :P

Gil and Lia would be more shy about going, but Kyle would probably take them to a more lowkey, daytime event, to help them acclimate to their recent coming out-edness. I don’t think either of them would know exactly what flag gear to pick up, but Lia would probably be drawn to a notebook covered in flowers in bi or pan colors, and Gil would probably be charmed by a t-shirt or sticker that says something about “my husband” <3

Happy STS! Imagine you're at a convention, signing copies of your book. A fan blushes, then hands you a piece of paper. You realize it's a fanart of your characters, and it's everything you've ever wanted. What is it like?

I’d take a photo with the person and the artwork, ask for their social handle, post and tag them in as many social sites as I can... I’d be on a high for weeks, I’m sure. I’d be so happy, so excited that I made that sort of impact on someone.
