The One With Wallows

Hi everyone. First I just wanted to thank everyone for reading my Au’s over the past um I don’t know how long but thank you all. More Au’s coming soon, might get a little hectic over the next two weeks. I’m going to be taking college classes for two weeks so it probably-most likely will take all my energy so just bare with me please.

Anyways this Au is about y/n who is a self-turned guitarist who’s dad is Tony Stark, and one night while watching The Late Late Night Show With James Cordon Wallows is performing and y/n plays along with her guitar which Tony happens to see her playing and does something special for her. FYI this happens after the events of Infinity War.

The Wallows sang as y/n payed attention solely to the guitarist Braeden Lemasters. Fixing the strings on her guitar she carefully examined each movement Braeden made. From the floor above a sleepless Tony lay awake due to the fact his daughter was up and playing. With a sigh he flung the sheets, stood up putting his slippers walking out of his room.

When Tony got closer he heard the song ending and then playing again. With every inch he got closer he could see into his daughter’s room the way she caressed the guitar and trying to gracefully play along with the TV. Tony watched his daughter play her back to him facing the TV. Tony became mesmerized by how talented his daughter was, before tonight he only thought everything was a “phase”. With her making her own band with a couple of school friends, being interested in guitars, he thought she was somehow trying to impress a boy.

As soon as the song finished Tony had a smile and clapped his hands. Startling y/n who jumped turning around. “Ho-how long have you been standing there?!?”. y/n ask. “Long enough to know you got talent”. Tony says sitting on y/n’s bed, patting the area next to him. “Kiddo come sit”. Y/n takes off her guitar sitting next to him with a sigh. “Before you say anything dad, i’m sorry for waking you up. And I know i’m going to have to find something ‘real’ to do with my life”. Y/n says in air quotes.

Tony laughs. An actual laugh, at first it freaks y/n out because she hasn’t heard the laugh in months ever since Thanos came. “No don’t ever stop playing y/n... while watching you I noticed something beautiful happen. You my sweet child are mine after all, yes you resemble your mom with your looks and attitude towards this passion of yours. It reminds me of when I was younger and passionate about the company and science and just everything and anything I loved. So thank you y/n for that performance, it brought a little bit on sunshine back into me. Enough for me to plan a little get together with everyone to remember the one’s we lost”. Tony says standing up grabbing the remote pressing play. “Now play my child”. Tony says bowing. Y/n giggles but plays for Tony the rest of the night.

That following weekend Tony got everyone to come. Throughout the “get together”, Tony has drinks reconciling with Steve and the others. Y/n playing the music for the night, well only the guitar parts. A couple of songs later Tony gets up on the stage and grabs the microphone. “Sorry fellas got something to say”. He says away from the microphone. “Hello Everyone if you could just settle down for a minute”. Everyone gets quiet. “Okay thank you, so um as you all know it hasn’t been an easy couple of months since Thanos came. Now a couple nights ago my daughter was playing her guitar late late LATE at night. So I did what any parent would do when their kid is awake past eleven, I went to her room. But the strangest thing happened, as I walked to her room I could hear the band play... but then I could hear her playing. As I watched her play she seemed so at peace. Though our days had been dark she found a way to brighten mine, I saw myself in her. So because she brightened my day I wanted her to do the same to all of you. Now raise your hands if you feel I don’t know brighter?”. Tony says raising his own hand as the everyone raises their hand. Tony turns to her, “Come here kiddo”. Tony says giving his hand to y/n’s. “I have a surprise for you, close your eyes”. Tony says. “You guys can come out now!”.

A couple of moments later and murmurs, Tony tells y/n to open her eyes. Y/n opens her eyes and sees the Wallows at their assigned instruments. “OMG! Dad how-how?”. Y/n says looking up at Tony. “Called up some people who owed me a favo-”. Before Tony could finish y/n hugs him, Tony hugs her back then tells her to go play with them. Y/n says hi to everyone till she gets to Braeden who she hugs. He laughs hugging her back, “You ready?”. Y/n let’s go getting her guitar she looks up at them. “You know it”.

Y/n and the Wallows spend the night playing cover’s of songs and some of their own.
