The voice suddenly sounds right above me and my eyes flutter open. I'm immediately blinded by a bright sky that looks unusually small and round. I groan, except it comes out a whine. Someone's hand cups my face. Bruce appears, blocking out most of the too-bright light. At this angle, he's haloed by both light and darkness. His eyes, impossibly blue, are wide.
I haven't written an intro post about this wip yet so if anyone's confused: this is a DC fic where an OC os reborn as Bruce Wayne's younger brother (by 7 years). This wip has been in the works for two years and is FAR from finished 😭 at this point, it has my whole soul 👻
