ok i'm a little late but i'm here to jump on the anti-snape bandwagon. he was an abusive asshole !! he was xenophobic?? elitist??? manipulative?? the things he did to 'redeem' himself were so vague and barely-there that they do not even nearly outweigh all the terrible things he did. also. if you're gonna talk trash about the Actual Light of My Life™ regulus black then you have no reason not to do the same with snape. i have a lot of emotions abt this.
i went to sleep but snaps was every one of these horrible things and he got a thrill from hurting other ppl, whether it be physically or emotionally. ALSO REGULUS BLACK IS MY PRECIOUS BEAN I WOULD DIE FOR HIM he did some shit but he realized how wrong he was and he died trying to fix his mistakes but never once did he pretend to be something he wasn't, unlike snaps who loved playing the double agent and taking credit on sides even when he didn't deserve it
