Scenes from winter storm Jonas in our part of the world.   Snow fell for a solid day and a half, sometimes fast and accompanied by strong winds.  When it ended late Saturday evening there was close to 30″ of snow on the ground. 

Sunday was cold but sunny and a nice day to work on shoveling or simply enjoying the quiet beauty. A large flock of robins arrived before the storm and seemed happy the storm was over.  They were happily feasting on the berries of the Red Cedars while sparrows and junco’s found seeds of the Indian Grass (Sorghastrum nutans) to their liking.
