Are you still at NCSU? I'm going there this fall!
Haha, for the next three hours! I’m moving out of my dorm today and I’m going to graduation tomorrow, so I’m not gonna be there when you are.
General advice: Fountain Dining Hall is friggin’ delicious, there’s a bus tracking site/app for the Wolfline busses which is really convenient, and if you’re in humanities or your program offers it as an elective, you want to take Intro to Film with Andrea Mensch, she’s really fun. Also register your machines’ MAC addresses with their Nomad system so you don’t have to authenticate into the wifi all the time. And if you don’t have a lot of money, try to avoid walking down Hillsborough street because the homeless people there are masters of their craft and will make it almost impossible to refuse them unless you’re really good at forcing yourself to be a jerk. Do not take ARS/MUS 306 Music Composition with Computers, it’s stupendously terrible. The libraries will let you borrow practically anything, like one time I lost my laptop power cord and they just had a basket of laptop power cords of different types you could borrow, so if you need some electronic doodad try asking them if they have it, they’ve had it every time I asked. Don’t eat at Centennial’s Oval, the food is awful and overpriced and it’s not buffet-style like the main campus dining halls. If you have a boring class that doesn’t allow computers/phones... well, if you care about your grade you want to sit in the front and pay rapt attention, but if it’s totally wasting your time then grab a copy of the campus newspaper, they’ve got sudoku and crosswords. Avoid anyone carrying a clipboard at all costs.
that’s about everything i can think of off the top of my head.
