“I could have sworn I’ve seen that shrubbery before.” A bizarrely dressed ‘witch’ uttered with annoyance as she double-checked, triple checked and quadruple-checked her makeshift map. Yessir, she had managed to go around in circles again.
Deciding to be overdramatic as all hell, Magilou tossed the useless parchment aside and draped her arm over her forehead as she leaned against a tree.
“Oh woe is me! I, the Great and Beautiful Magilou, can’t seem to escape this nefarious neck of the woods. Am I destined to wander the forest forever, fated to become a vengeful spirit in the the afterlife? I knew I shouldn’t have made that left turn at Albeque-” Magilou was about to take a step to the left but ended up tripping on a large tree root and falling face down on the ground.
Ouch!
Picking up her hat and dusting it off while uttering a few unladylike curses underneath her breath, Magilou was then surprised to have come across a path...huh...she didn't see that before. Maybe she missed it? Oh well. Either take it or starve here. So Magilou walked down the path, wondering where it would take her.

“Haah...How did things end up like this?” Merrosia wondered and sighed as she wandered through the forest. Such was the unfortunate disadvantage of not being able to fly like many other types of dragons. If she could, she wouldn’t have ended up so horribly lost, or at least could have just flown out of the forest once she did. But here she was, just trudging through the forest without any clear direction at this point and just hoping she could find her way out.
“Wait is that...A castle?” She was surprised to see something so...out there in a place like this, but maybe she could at least ask for directions here? She walked up to the front door and gave it a few sharp knocks, hoping someone would answer.

Dracul gave off a heavy sigh after stepping through a portal that had been created by a sorceress to a rather peculiar forest. The sorceress had come to him with a request to explore a place she had found and deal with any undesirable entities that resided within it. Thinking back about it, he noticed a hint of spite in her voice which he should have paid more attention to; now he was stuck in a forest that was clearly under the influence of magic, a fact that was clearly given away not only by his medallion’s humming but also via the way it merely looked.
With the portal in which he came through closed, the Witcher was left with little more in the way of options than just going forward, and figuring how he was going to deal with that sorceress when he got back. “..... This is the last time I accept a contract from a sorceress that involves teleporting me to places I’ve never been before.”

Forests always had the same mystical wonder to Sun. It didn’t matter which, ultimately… He always felt that same relaxing aura surrounding them. Whether it was a jungle off the coast of Vacuo, or a dense snow-covered tundra near Atlas, or a thick redwood forest outside Vale… It always felt similar. Unique, but… Familiar. As such, as Sun entered this particular forest, the exhalation was one of relief, not exhaustion.
Granted, few would expect it to be of anything but exhaustion. This trip in of itself had taken him a few weeks to get done, on foot, doing nothing but battling random monsters of Grimm the entire way. The black beasts did their work, but Sun being Sun, he rarely had them drawn his way. Positive attitudes had their benefits, after all. Still, his trip supplies were running low. He’d planned on this, planned what he was going to do, but that didn’t make watching his food reserves plummet any less frustrating to consider. So he avoided thinking about the mostly empty pack, and instead focused on the road ahead.
Blonde hair brushed out of his eyes, the young man’s gasp of relief was met with… Silence, mostly. He was so far from civilization at this point, he’d been concerned the number of wild Grimm would increase, but… Lo and behold, this area was downright serene. Nature at it’s most lush. A hand pressed over one particularly large tree’s bark, an almost affectionate gesture… Before a grin swept over him.
The pack was dropped, left on a small rock as he leapt up onto the tree. Most would try this with both hands, and then shimmy their way up. Sun? Sun preferred the ‘leap off it, then another tree, bounding between them with a flurry of kicks until you reach the top’ method. Boing boing boing.
Soon, his head crested through the treetops with a flurry of motion, doing his best not to break much on his way up. As he reached his goal, the bluster of wind brought a smirk to his heated, sweat-afflicted head. He could see the forest go on for… What felt like forever. Had to be a curvature of the planet thing, but he wasn’t complaining. This was exactly what he was searching for in his quest to get his meditation in.
That was his plan, after all. If he was ever going to catch up to Ruby, he had to get moving on this. And the only way he knew how to get stronger was a technique he’d struck upon while meditating on boats… And then, that power was quickly used in his everyday life. He needed his everyday life to be that training, to maintain that power. And doing so out here, in the forest? That’d be perfect. But first, he needed… Ah. Water. The smirk widened as his eyes caught a clear clearing of trees, even if it wasn’t that wide. A lake... Probably. Water at least. Common enough in the forest, and just what he needed for his plan.
Quickly he marked the direction in his mind, then began sliding down the tree with all the grace of a dancer on a pole. Specifically, one not getting paid, considering the speed he finished his descent. Down at the bottom he was free to pick back up the backpack, a once-hefty sack of food… Now down to the last items within it; seeds. His plan was to live out here for the foreseeable future, to grow his own food and to live off the land in a harmonious effort to maintain his meditation. No technology, not even his Scroll. Not that it would signal out here. Just him, his seeds, flint and steel for a controlled fire (and the water that offered) and a burning desire to make this work.
His journey was coming to an end… That much, the young man was sure of.

|| So, this was Mariana’s castle. Not exactly Hogwarts, but a fine enough place for Aeron to spend some time learning magic nonetheless. Aeron approached the large wooden door, giving a few hard knocks. ||
“Hello? Miss Mariana, you in there?”
