Someone once said, “Sow a thought, reap a deed. Sow a deed, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a destiny.” Before you can do a thing you have to think it. Your thoughts lead to attitudes; attitudes lead to actions; actions lead to those achievements. It all begins with the thought life. Your achievements will be the sum total of your thoughts. QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER *What lies do I believe about myself or the world around me, and how is that affecting my relationship with God? *What sins or bad habits in my life are weighing me down from a higher moral conduct? *What behaviors or habits do I know to be right, and yet avoid or ignore? *Am I selfishly trying to find physical or emotional fulfillment through my relationships? RECOMMENDATION Be not conformed to this world; but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). When God gets ready to change someone, how does He do it? By changing how they think. God changes the thought process. HEAR THIS: When your mind is clear and right with God, when you think the thoughts of Christ after Him, when you have the mind of Christ, when you’re being transformed by the word of God and the power of God and the Spirit of God in your thought life, then you’re going to be doing the will of God. God has a plan for you, a wonderful plan. The book of Proverbs shows you His plan for having health, wealth, and wisdom. BREAKFAST WITH THE WORD Theme: God Is Your Source Text: 2 Corinthians 9:6-10 Money bestowed in charity, may to the carnal mind seem thrown away, but when given from proper principles, it is seed sown, from which a valuable increase may be expected. It should be given carefully. Works of charity, like other good works, should be done with thought and design. Due thought, as to our circumstances, and those we are about to relieve, will direct our gifts for charitable uses. Help should be given freely, be it more or less; not grudgingly, but cheerfully. WHILE SOME SCATTER , AND YET INCREASE; OTHERS WITHHOLD MORE THAN IS MEET, AND IT TENDS TO POVERTY. If we had more faith and love, we should WASTE LESS ON OURSELVES, and SOW MORE IN HOPE OF A PLENTIFUL INCREASE. Can a man LOSE by DOING that with which GOD IS PLEASED? He is able to make all grace abound towards us, and to abound in us; to give a large increase of spiritual and of temporal good things. HE CAN MAKE US TO HAVE ENOUGH IN ALL THINGS; and to be content with what we have. God gives not only enough for ourselves, but that also wherewith we may supply the wants of others, and this should be as seed to be sown. We must show the reality of our subjection to the gospel, by works of charity. Resist the devil, and he will FLEE from you"...kjv A certain lady went to a pastor for help, she has been under the oppression of a marine husband. She sees a man every night in her dreams making love to her. When she wakes up, physically, she discovers semen all over her body. Of course this hindered her marriage. After a period of discussion with the Man of God, he asked her a simple question, "have you resisted the devil?". "Sir, I don't understand", she said, "how do I resist the devil?", she asked, looking very confused. The pastor open the scriptures and read James 4:7, and gave her simple instructions. This night before you sleep, declare in JESUS name that you are the BRIDE of Christ and say, you devil, I resist you, according to the word of God, out of my house and life in JESUS name. The lady went back home and did as she was instructed. In her testimony she said, after declaring the WORD OF GOD and slept, she saw the same man walked into her room but this time could not come close to her until he left, it was like an edge was made around her. And so it was that she delivered herself with just the SIMPLICITY OF GOD'S WORD. *The answer you seek is hidden in the simplicity of God's WORD *Study it and you'll find it with the help of the Holy Ghost. *Three times Jesus Himself resisted the devil using the WORD.
