I have an absurd amount of splatoon ocs… they just keep showing up I don’t know how it happens.
This is going to be very long, so I will apologize in advance for the mountain of text you are about to be bombarded with. I am very happy you’ve asked this though!
Okay so I have two different universes so far in which my splatoon ocs exist, each one centering around a different fanfic of mine. The first one is based around Watch the Sky With You, and the second one is based around An LED Light at the End of the Tunnel. I’m going to break this post into two parts to cover the two different universes :)
This is long so I’m going to put a cut here. Look below it for the wall of text!

Watch the Sky With You
The ocs in this universe are very centered around shipping, and the vast majority of them are based around oc x canon ships.
First up there’s my agent ocs, which have the very creative names of Captain (she/her), Four (she/they), Eight (he/him), and Neo 3 (it/its). This storyline mainly centers around Four, who gets greyscaled to become Parallel Canon in the Memverse and then as they regain their memories they gradually fall in love with Acht.
In addition to this we’ve got ocs to go along with basically every canon character. I haven’t developed these guys very much but they do all have a tiny bit of lore. Also all the ships have children, which I will cover as well.
First up is Elita (she/her), nicknamed Pepper. She is a former elite octoling and in love with Callie! The two of them have a child named Lyra (she/they) who is probably the most responsible out of any of my ocs despite being one of the youngest.
Shina (she/her) is my next oc in the lineup. She is one of Four’s many aunts and in love with Marie. She also is a former assassin, but that doesn’t get brought up much. Her and Marie have a child named Cassie (she/her), who directly parallels Lyra in being the most chaotic of the group.
Birch (they/them) is next, another one of Four’s aunts, and is in love with Shiver. They tend to be kind of shark-like in their tendencies, which makes them perfect for Shiver. They have an adopted child named Kai (they/them) who they had adopted before meeting Shiver, and then with Shiver they have twins named Megan (she/her) and Don (he/him).
Elle (she/her) comes next, with probably some of the most convoluted lore out of all of them. She is the result of Four being cloned in the Memverse, and was originally one of the Parallel Canon bots (or maybe the main one? idk I never really figured that part out). She gained sentience and really wanted to be a real inkling, so Marina made a robot body for her and allowed her to live outside the Memverse. She is in love with Frye, and they have a robot child named Pixel (they/them).
Acht and Four have a child named Gibbous (he/him) who is just a little ball of energy and inhertied a little bit of both Acht’s sanitization and Four’s greyscaling.
Pearl and Marina also have a kid together in my universe, named Kaito (he/they). He and Gibbous both have a crush on each other.
Captain, Eight, and Big Man are all in a QPR, and they have a child named Sage (he/she/they) that is kind of a mix of inkling, octoling, and manta ray (I have completely ignored biology).
Also Four has two moms named Nancy (she/her) and Alex (she/her). They don’t get brought up a lot but they do exist.

An LED Light at the End of the Tunnel
These ocs are way more developed, and I’m kind of more proud of these ones (though that kind of feels like having a favorite child). This particular set is near polar opposites to my previous one, meaning there are no ships in this one at all, and it is much more focused on character lore and development.
The main character of this story is Itys (they/them), who is also Agent 4. They have every mental illness. They were left alone in Octo Canyon to look after Octavio while the rest of the NSS went to Splatsville. As the years went on (yes, years), they grew lonelier and lonelier, and their already poor mental health declined even more. Octavio offered them a way out: the hypnoshades. They refused for a long time, but they eventually snapped, and they agreed to put them on. Itys joins up with the Octarians, and during that time they meet four Octarians in particular.
Nell (she/her) is one of these octarians, being the leader of this particular platoon. She’s on the bossier side, and can sometimes be a little mean, but she does genuinely care about those around her. She has a really cool storyline in the fic, but I don’t want to spoil anything!
Phal (he/him) is the next of the octarians, being another member of the platoon and an absolute scaredy-cat. He’s immesnely physically strong, but he is also scared of his own shadow.
Constantly near Phal is Spore (it/its), a tiny little Octotrooper that never grew to its full size. It speaks in gargles and burps, and kind of just sits around being cute.
Lastly we have Atra (they/them), who is the technician of the group. They’re a master at both hardware and software, but the moment a weapon is put in their hands they have no idea what to do. They can design weapons all day long, but they cannot for the life of them actually use one.
On top of those Octarians, I also have NSS ocs for this universe!
Juno (she/her) is Captain, and is trying her best when it comes to running the New Squidbeak Splatoon. She wants to be a good leader, but at the same time she, like the rest of the NSS, can be a bit forgetful when faced with a large problem, which is partially what contributed to Itys being left alone in Octo Canyon.
Eight (it/its), who has no memory of its real name, is simply trying to keep the peace. It wants to enjoy life on the surface, but at the same time it has been caught up in the drama of agent life, and now it just wants to find a way to make everyone happy.
Janus (fae/faer) is the newest adition to the NSS, being Neo 3. Fae is accompanied by faer salmonid, Lil’ Buddy (he/it), and is mainly focused on not dying while trying to navigate whatever conspiracy theory fae has been dragged into.
