Okay so I saw that BBB x BBX post, and here's my take on the idea: Both of these stories are taking place simoltaniously. In the same way that Nascar and Formula 1 are both Motorsports that coexist, but have some very different fundamental building blocks, Beyblade X and Beyblade Burst are both incredibly similar sports, just completely different categories of the concept. If you throw Jaxon against Valt, then yeah, Valt's gonna get his ass kicked, because Valtryek isn't fundamentally designed to go up against the sheer speed and metal contact points of Sword Dran. It's mean to go up against the mainly plastic (or sometimes rubber) contact points of other Burst Beys. Does that make sense? I did my best there.

THIS MAKES SENSEE!! considering quadstrike and beyblade x were being developed at the same time i'm definitely digging the idea of the two generations coexisting like that 👀

the game shares similarities between its two versions but the differences/upgrades are so big there's no way for the gameplay to stay completely unchanged

put dran sword in a burst stadium and it probably won't be able to do much damage due to the lack of x-rail. put valkyrie in an x stadium and it won't be able to withstand the sheer violence of the opponent xtreme dashing into it

unless the bladers (and beys) adapt to what the other version of the game has to offer then it's impossible for a fair matchup to occur between them. hence why we never see them within the same space/tournaments 🤔 (not sure if the motorsports scene has this issue but i can totally imagine there being unhinged players for each version of the game that are constantly at each other's throats because both sides think their version of the game is "superior"-)

Okay here's literally one of my all time favorite AU's ever. Not just because it's funny and has a lot of room for creativity, but because it's an open AU that anyone can add to.

basically a long time ago, Zoraxis and the E.O.D had a truce to build a massive laboratory to create man-kinds greatest inventions. They made tons of amazing inventions, like, sci-fi level amazing.

And Juniper and Phoenix are both sent to look around and try to find anything to bring back.

They end up finding each other, and they both begin to argue about who should take things back, but then they actually find the stuff and become amazed! they decide that the technology would just be too dangerous when weaponized so they planned on not bringing anything back...

UNTIL... they find out that stated in the truce,"if a zoraxis agent and an enhanced operative both unite, they would be given the laboratory"

So they create a truce between themselves to keep the laboratory and to basically just reinstate it and try to keep things running, you know, basically just continuing old tests that were never finished.

so yeah, most of the AU is just juniper and phoenix bonding while fucking around with cool tech.
