5: Talk about the best birthday you've had. 22: Talk about your worst fear.
5: Talk about the best birthday you’ve had.
I’ve never really been too excited to celebrate my birthday, it’s always been just another day to me. Hmmmm, let me think…..Okay, I can’t remember how old I was, so I’m going to take a stab in the dark and say I was around 8 or 9. Me and my little cousin always used to have a joint birthday party because there’s only two days between our birthdays. I used to get super irritated, because I was older and I just wanted my birthday parties with all my friends, and not have my baby cousin and all her young friends running around. So anyway, this particular birthday, my parents hired out this huge activity centre for my birthday. I was so excited about it because that’s where all the other kids had their parties, so I was ecstatic that I finally got in on it too. It was just a really fun day. I was running around with all my friends and we were acting like we were all big and cool in front of my cousin and her little friends haha! I can never forget these two guys (they were the two ‘really hot guys’ at my primary school, so I was pretty excited that they came to my party), and they kept sneaking away all the bottles of fizzy pop to make weird concoctions, and they both ended up throwing up all over the place 😂 It was just a really fun, memorable birthday party, and I felt like the coolest kid in the world that day.
22: Talk about your worst fear.
TW: suicide and self harm Oh god, I have so many fears! I’ve never been diagnosed with depression, but I know for a fact that I have, and still experience it. High school was the worst time of my life. My first love cheated on me with my three best friends. I was verbally and mentally battered by him. I had no self esteem whatsoever. I lost all my friends. I just felt hopeless. It just didn’t feel like it was ever going to get better. I used to self harm. I used it as a punishment almost. This boyfriend used to make me feel like everything was my fault, and I stupidly believed him. So I used to cut and burn myself to punish myself for how badly he made me believe that I treated him. I would lay in bed at night and hope and pray I didn’t wake up in the morning. I used to think about all the ways I could kill myself, but I’d never follow through with them, so I’d self harm more for being so useless. It was just an unbelievably dark time for me, and my biggest fear is me ever slipping back to that place. I made a promise to myself that I’d never self harm again, and I haven’t since then. I nearly went back to that place this year, and for a moment I felt like that broken 17 year old girl, and it scared the hell outta me, because I never, ever, e v e r want to put myself through that hurt and pain ever again.
7 & 17!
7. Biggest turn off(s)
Arrogance!! Gah, I can’t stand a guy who think he’s all that. I can’t stand guys who are cocky and so in to themselves. Hate it, hate it, hate it!
17. A fact about my life
I see my extended family every single day; grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. My family is pretty small, and we all live very close to each other, so luckily, I get to see them often.
what kind of camera do you have? last time you were really happy?
I have a Canon 5D Mark III. It was my gift to myself last year; my old Nikon D300 had finally shit out on me in a bad way and I felt like I'd invested enough time into photography as a business to need it.
Right now I'm laying on husband while he's playing xbox, Kaidan's being a wiggle-butt, and the dogs are cuddling me. I'd say right now is a happy moment. :)

omg yes! thats perfect! newborn photography is always successful.
It's my favorite. And I have a knack for it. The last lady I did a newborn shoot for asked if I had some mystical baby-whispering power lol.

SAMEEEE. i got this damn Canon and im going to use the hell out of it. i just ordered a tripod!
What are cameras for if not to annoy everyone with piles of kid pics?
I'm excited because I'll be able to add more baby stuff to my portfolio in addition to getting cute photos of my kid. Since I'm trying to narrow my focus to just newborns and maternity it can only help!
theycallmetabs replied to your post “Have you heard of that new trend where you lay on your ceiling & spin? I tried, but I'm not a fan. - Bunnon❤”
that joke went right over your head Verita. lmao
LMFAO! I don't know. I've seen some stupid ass videos lately of teenagers & I was like....please tell me this ain't so.
Yikes. Sorry guys, I failed :p
Verita(:
i really like your blog theme.... anywho. anything you and your hubby will never agree on? did you have a big wedding or small? have you ever shot a gun before?
You come up with such interesting questions!!
I am pretty sure that there are things that my husband and I do not agree on. One such example is me breastfeeding in public without a cover. I haven't done it yet but I have such a stubborn attitude that I begin my, "So the hell what? These people want to stare let them! I have my rights! Try me!" rants and he gets upset and well it's a standoff of sorts. The other thing and it's minor and it makes me laugh afterwards is that he and I can not try to figure out something together. We are not a good team! Example: We bought a printer and it took us 30 minutes to figure out how to put the stupid ink cartridge in. The instructions showed only graphic instructions but no words. We couldn't understand the drawing! He tried and I kept taking it away, "Let me try" and vice versa. We sometimes remind each other before starting something new that only one person will work on it and when they give up the other will take over.
My wedding (which I will end up "spamming" the dashboards on my Anniversary August 8th) was medium-sized? We got married on the lighthouse steps near South Padre Island and our reception was at a reception hall in the city. It was purple and white and beach themed. My husband and I both have laid back attitudes so friends described the environment as "Elegant but super relaxed and friendly". Both sides had friends and family from all over. We were amazed that people came down to stay for one day just to see us wed.
I have shot a gun or rather guns. Don't ask me what kind they were I have no clue. I think my dad said caliber. I have also shot an air rifle. When I was 16, my brothers and I got to shoot guns because for some unknown reason my dad had possession of some fields outside of the city. He would take us there, teach us how to hold the gun and we got to shoot at targets. He also taught us to take the gun apart and to clean every section. My parents collect guns and knives and to be honest I do not feel comfortable around these items. My husband gave me a butterfly knife for protection but I don't feel comfortable holding it so it just stays hidden in my purse. I wish I could have one of those police stick things that are small but open up to this huge stick thing.
