A new day, a new dead body. That basically seemed to be the motto lately. Even though John didn't mind the cases that much, he did mind walking around at a crime scene at bloody 6 AM. Of course, solving a case had always been important, a priority, in fact, but he didn't understand why Sherlock had dragged him along just to ignore his input the entire morning. With a sigh, he walked away from the crowd and only paused when he noticed a woman observe the crime scene he had just left. He figured it wouldn't hurt to explain what was going on since she seemed to be nothing more than an innocent by passer.
"Hello, I'm John Watson. I'd suggest you not to get too close, because the police are currently investigating a case." he spoke while he approached the woman, gesturing to another police car that was heading toward the rest of the cops. "I didn't think it'd turn out to be this important, though. Um, I mean... Of course it's important, it's most likely the work of a serial killer but..." he cut off his sentence, thinking he had definitely spend way too much time with Sherlock for thinking a murder was actually not that surprising anymore. "Anyway, are you alright?"
