“Yes, I’m his friend and I help out with his cases.” John gave the woman a surprised look because of the way she reacted to Sherlock’s name. Perhaps she was someone who he had helped out sometime in the past, or maybe she was someone who simply admired his work. Either way, it’d be interesting to find out and have a chat, especially since he had nothing more to do than wait. “Actually, he’s a consulting detective. Did he… ever solve a case for you or something like that?”
"Uh…no. Knew him when I was younger. Then something happened and I basically haven’t seen him since I was about 12 or 13. So almost twenty years. He happens to be my brother. Surprised he has friends, no one really liked him when we were kids."
"You... knew him?" he asked with a surprised look on his face. "Wait, sorry? Your brother?" He barely managed to say the last word out loud. It definitely had been a shock already when he met Sherlock's older brother for the first time, but this was even stranger. "He still doesn't really have friends, but I'd like to consider myself to be one, but that's not important right now. Why on earth has he never mentioned you before?"
"It isnt that bad for me. Not as much as it is for you. John, really if you need someone, really, Im always there for you. I think we should." Molly followed him out and she lead him to a coffee shop they had never been to before. It had become sort of a safe haven for her, no memories or attatchments to this place.
Molly slide into a booth closer to the wall and away from the majority of the restaurants tenants. "John, is there something you want to talk about?"
John took the seat across Molly, as he stared absentmindedly to an empty glass that was still standing on the table. "How... What exactly did you mean by that earlier?" he asked suddenly, before focusing his attention back to her. "You've known him much longer than I did, after all. I mean... I really don't want to be rude, but I'm pretty sure you fancied him, didn't you?" Before he even realized it, he brought up the only subject that he would normally ignore when he was around her, but there was no taking it back now. "Why didn't you ever tell him?" he asked quietly, even though he could already guess the reason.
She chuckled "Yea if we were friends or something John, but friends, I think we are not" she stated and exhaled "If it will stop your hounding I will cover my tracks better and watch my back closer" she stated not giving up her work.
"I guess you've got a point there." he replied while nodding slowly, but soon changed his mind again. "Well, you don't have to do this, you know. You can choose to behave and I could even help you out a bit if you make that decision. I'm seriously not encouraging you to do whatever it is that you do even better, that would cause a lot of trouble..."

"Sorry for that," she winced. “Hm, I know what he’s like when he’s on a case here, so I’ll imagine that about three times worse, shall I?" Molly laughed. “So, picky, irritating?"
John held his breath for a moment, not wanting to throw out random words that came to mind faster than he would’ve thought. “Oh… He just gets rather dangerous and childish. You have no idea what a horrible combination that is, really. You should’ve seen him when he shot the bloody wall when he was bored."
"He shot th-?! How is he not in A & E most of his life?!" Molly gasped at the wall part of John’s response, almost shocked, but then really not, at how Sherlock was.
"You tell me." he replied, biting his lower lip to hide his grin. Even though he did mind the holes in the wall when it actually happened, he couldn't help but somewhat enjoy the memory of it because it was typically Sherlock. "Don't forget he's Sherlock. He can get away with things like this easily. I bet he's done more of these things before I even knew him."
"Who do you think gave him the head?" Molly joked, picking up two of each vials. “I’ll give you eight, two of each type. You won’t get told off, that way."
He shook his head and pulled a disgusted face as he thought back of the head he found in the fridge. “Can’t say I was too happy finding it next to the food." he replied as he tried to get rid of the imagine in his head. "Thank, Molly, you basically saved me with these. You know how Sherlock gets when he’s bored and without experiments or cases."
"Sorry for that," she winced. “Hm, I know what he’s like when he’s on a case here, so I’ll imagine that about three times worse, shall I?" Molly laughed. “So, picky, irritating?"

She let the smile stay on her face as she bat her eyes at him "Why di you care so much my dear? If I go to jail it would make your life easier" She hummed biting the corner of her bottom lip.
John rolled his eyes at her actions, wondering why he had to deal with this. "Yes... Yes, it would be easier, wouldn't it? But good people would rather prevent having to see people they know locked up behind bars." He lowered his gaze in order to avoid eye contact. "Think about that for a minute, will you?"

There’s a bit of a renovation - or, if you like, redecorating - going on in the bookshop at the moment. Sorry about the mess.
I’m starting a cafe inside this bookshop. The whole place will look like new when it’s ready!
"So you're not giving up on the cafe idea, are you? Great choice, Amanda. Looking forward to seeing the result. Let me know if there's anything I could do, anything at all."
March on, soldier.
