will you keep the chapters up in an archive? if your uncomfy with it its ok sorry but i like them a lot

i'll keep all of my fics up permanently on ao3 even if i don't like them anymore, so you don't have to worry about that ^^

if you're talking about chapter 1 being rewritten, then i wouldn't be opposed to having a separate fic on my profile where i'll keep the old chapters up. i'll make sure to do that when the rewritten chapter goes up too

suppose i might as well update here

THFO will continue! the support from everyone has been monumental to me, and its made me realize again why THFO was so special to me to begin with. although, the next chapter is not in progress yet---instead, im rewriting chapter 1 as of now, and will most likely rewrite chapters 2&3 at some point. this fic has changed a lot in what i want to do with it, and personal attachments to the older chapters have soured them for me a bit, along with them just being old and a bit wonky lol

this will take some time, of course, im still caught up in another hyperfixation and a collaborative creative project with a group of friends, so my attention will be split. i have had a bad writing itch these past few days, so who knows anymore

again, thank you SO SO SO MUCH to everyone whos stuck with me and shown me that the fandom isnt all rotten these past few days. im so grateful ive gathered thoughtful and mature people with my silly little dudes. i say 'thank you' so much, its starting to lose meaning, but i promise i mean it every single time

you are such an extremely talented writer!! i completely respect your decision to leave the madcom fandom if you wish, THFO, was amazing but maybe it is time to move on, regardless of whatever you decide to do, thank you for making such a wonderful story for madcom!! 🫶🏾🫶🏾

i'm not leaving yet!!! not 100% sure i will, anyway. i've had a couple commenters give support on the update on ao3 and along with you, too, i'm having hope this fandom isn't as awful as i chalked it up to be, i was just only looking at the bad.

still, though, i will be having an extended break, mostly to focus on art fight like i said in a previous post, but so i can decompress and come back to THFO with a clear head and optimism.

thank you so so much for the ask, it truly means a lot that people care enough to send me support. it goes a long way in showing me how much THFO matters to others, but also myself. <3

hello again! i come bringing news!! however it may not be the kind you all are wanting :(. given i have been hyperfixated on another personal story besides THFO, and ArtFight season is coming up, unfortunately i will not be able to work on the fic for another little while. i care deeply about the fic and the story i want to tell, so i will not work on it until i am passionate and sure of the quality of writing, and i cannot do that as of now, nor will i have the time to dedicate to THFO at least for the next few weeks. my deepest apologies!!! do not fret, i am still constantly thinking about the fic and the characters, and truthfully i am gnawing on the bars of my unrelated hyperfixation hell to work on it again undisturbed!!!!!

thank you all again for sticking with me during this!! it means so so much to me that you all come back even during my hiatuses and your kind words mean the world to me. i'll see you when i see you, i hope you all have an amazing summer!!!!

in other news; chapter 5 of THFO is over halfway done! a couple more scenes need to be written and editing still needs to be done, along with possibly a couple beta reads, but i think that's good progress :)

small update, but i hardly post here so i might as well give what i have while i'm here. have a small sneak peak of doc and jeb's meeting ;)

i absolutely ADORE and admire the way you write transness, i am nonbinary myself, it's so rare to find fics that capture how painful dysphoria really is, you are such an amazing writer!!

thank you!!! that's such a high honor!! while i don't personally struggle with dysphoria (not that much, at least), i'm so happy people are still able to relate to my writing. i've spend a loooong long time listening to my trans siblings and i'm doing my best to replicate how awful dysphoria is and treat the topic with respect.

i'm glad doc's issues with his gender and body are cohesive because it's very important to the story beyond just what it is now. shit's gonna get messier let me tell you!! thank you again anon you're very kind :) i hope one day (soon, hopefully!) you can be comfortable and happy with the body you're in
