it definitely went well

he was nice, we talked a lot, had a good time

i kind of look at it like this: even if it doesn’t go anywhere from here, i now have at least some experience with the whole thing

or even if it had gone badly (in the sense that it was awkward, not that i ended up in danger), i still would have had a new experience, it might have sucked but at least it would be something 

luckily it was a positive experience though
