This tale from #TLOT: The Soldier Prince is set down the road from Ketterdam. That more than anything pushed me to keep reading. Every tale in this collection is scarily great in it own right, but The Soldier Prince was FRUSTRATING. It felt unplanned and off-kilter, like even the story didn't know what the f was going on. The abrupt change in narratives were jarring. The characters all seemed confused, which left me, the reader, doubly confused. And so many random events were left unanswered. All in all, it was a great concept and a host of cool scenes but my least favourite story in the collection. ---------------------------------------------------------- #Thiades_february18 Day 17: Love Triangle - Now this tale has a "love triangle" of sorts spring up on you (...and then some more shapes) #CityOfProudPotterheads Day 17: Parseltongue: It would be interesting to see what toys would say.

What even is this book. It's pushing me into a slump and it's not that it's terribly written or anything. I'm just finding it dry. I keep sitting back down with it because I AM intrigued. But I get as far as 5 more pages before yawn and start day dreaming.
