After several days on the path, I come across the Ruin of The Skye and its breathtaking.
The sunlight dances off the old stones, pools with wild lilies floating on the surface. Moss, vines, and wild flowers cover the gardens and ruins.
Looking closer, the stones are covered in runes and glyphs from so many languages I've never seen before.
In the center of one of the gardens is a shrine, filled with tributes from travelers over the years. I grab a worry stone from my pocket and place it with other offerings.
As I leave, I see something out of the corner of my eye. No, not something, someone. They are a hooded, oddly acting shadowed figure at the lower part of the Ruins.
I activate a protection glyph to shield myself and those around. Someone close by calls out to the figure.
We hear a horried angry scream, and the body crumbles to the floor. Someone in the group goes to check on them.
Turns out, she became possessed by an angry spirit that inhabited the Ruins and was very thankful we turned up.
We make came for the night on the edge of the Ruins.
