so that one thiam scene where they’re in the car and theo says “people only feel one emotion at a time”.... I never understood it and at this point i’m too afraid to ask because it’s so monumental but i keep seeing it in fics and stuff but??? what does it mean???
I will try to explain the scene but feel free to send a follow up ask if things are still unclear. 😊
The scene takes place after the zoo, where Liam almost hurt Nolan and Theo had to knock him out (five times!) To bring him back to the car.
Liam wakes up and feels guilty about what he almost did, not understanding why he is so angry all the time, even after he learned control (and finding his new anchor in Theo but he doesn't know that yet so shhhh).
Theo explains that it is the Anuk Ite influencing all of them to which Liam says "but I am angry, not afraid."
There comes the iconic line "People only feel one emotion at a time, Liam." Theo explains that fear can show differently - the hunters are so afraid, they choose guns to defend themselves, Liam himself subconciously uses his anger (that makes him stronger) to hide his fear.
It's a great scene in my opinion, because it really helps Thiam bond, just like the whole episode. It shows how much Liam's wolf already relies on Theo and Theo's "new", more human, views on things.
