"Jordan—"

"It’s Deputy Parrish to you."

"Parrish—"

"No."

"But Jordan—"

"No, Mr. Dunbar," Parrish interjects sharply. "I don’t want to hear another word from you."

"Yeah, Dunbar, zip it," Theo mutters under his breath, earning a low growl from Liam.

Jordan shuts his eyes for a moment, trying to collect himself. "That goes for you too, Mr. Raeken."

He catches a glimpse of them in the rearview mirror and notices Liam’s smug grin directed at Theo. Despite their healing cuts, bruises and the dried blood, they still look like they’ve been in a brutal fight – perhaps mauled is more accurate.

For a few precious seconds, silence resumes. But Jordan isn’t surprised; Liam and Theo always carry an air of tension when together, often leading to intense stares and bickering.

OR aka the one where Liam and Theo find themselves in trouble. Jordan makes them apologise – just not with words.
