A tasty recipe for a big BBQ rib sandwich with tender, flavorful ribs, crunchy coleslaw, sliced onions, and pickles, all covered in thick BBQ sauce. Great for feeding a lot of people or having a barbecue party.
Ingredients: 2 racks of baby back ribs. 1 cup BBQ rub. 2 cups BBQ sauce. 1 cup coleslaw. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 1/2 cup pickles, sliced. 8 large buns.
Instructions: Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Take off the back of the ribs' membrane and season them on both sides with the BBQ rub. After the grill is hot, put the ribs on it and cook for 30 to 40 minutes, turning them over every now and then, until they are fully cooked. Just before they're done, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce. Take the ribs off the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes. Then cut them into individual ribs. Put together the big BBQ rib sandwich by putting a lot of coleslaw on the bottom half of the bun. Put sliced ribs on top, then onions and pickles. Spread more BBQ sauce on top, then put the other half of the bun on top. Toothpicks are used to hold the sandwich together. Do the same thing with the rest of the sandwiches. The big BBQ rib sandwich is ready to eat right away.
