OOC//: Hi Redshift, it's been a while. I've been following the blog for some time, reread the anons far too often to be considered neurotypical (/j), and have just been wondering where you've been these past few months. (The last post made on here was on March 20th as I'm writing this) I know you've said you'll try and get the blog when Phighting comes back into your brain and fully understand the struggle, I wouldn't mind if we got an update on how you've been through all this time. Even how you're feeling right now would be enough, there is NO rush being made for you to respond or to write a comprehensible or long response to this. I just want to know you're doing okay in this world, in both the good and the bad. I hope this doesn't come off as demanding, but know I will wait for as long as it takes for our favorite bean blog to come back, with you're mental health in mind of course. NGL life has been trying to maul me ever so slightly! I graduated high school, I'm a legal adult now, I'm moving out tomorrow (well, today, considering it's 4am where I am), I've gotta go job hunting, and crk is still sorta taking over my mind...

All in all it's been. A little bit hectic. I'm still alive, just a bit tired and unsure of what to do and where to go next. Not fully well mentally-wise but I know I'll be okay, if I'm to be entirely honest

Thanks for the check-in regardless. Honestly it helps to know people still care about me even when I'm not active! Once I'm in a more stable situation & properly settled into a routine again, I'll see about picking this blog back up. Again, thanks for checking in! I hope that whenever I return, we'll all be doing well :]

Another ThievesGround Anon ask while I work!

Have people ever found out what species does the beans descend from? There's been debates between Medkits, Rockets, Swords, Boomboxes and Slingshots but my money is on the SFOTH.

It's never been found out, actually! It's largely presumed they just sort of... show up out of nowhere, because no one's really sure what bean if any was the origin point. It's certainly fascinating to think about, though!

As for height, the order from tallest to shortest is: Red, Green, Blue and Yellow. I’m planning to keep the colour naming scheme for the people side of the asks to differentiate them from the beans who will have more personalised names. We’ll see how long it’ll take until I run out of ideas, lol. The image is also kinda hard to see (with tumblr image UI and all…) so I’ve got some close ups here and what I was doing with them!

The fabled attack that was Yellow’s first real encounter with pre-bag Kami.

I based the bacon incident dynamics off this one. Blue and Green are the most set in their thoughts and their conflicting ways of solving problems leads to a bunch of disagreements and petty fights (While Red and Yellow stand back and watch for safety). Other than those, they get along just fine.

What basically happened while Ask 2 was being written. Red’s 0 sense of self preservation really shines here. Bozo (/pos) saw their roommate (Yellow) cry for help in a bean forum and went “Not on my watch”.

And finally, the close ups of their real selves! Ignore Red’s picture, I do get better at lighting, I swear. )

(//OOC: Hi again Redshift! This may be different than what you’re used to from me but I just found some old art of when I was still figuring out ThievesGround Anon! I wanted some concepts of what Kami (who was unnamed at the time), Amai and Tomari looked like along with some early art of Melon. I’ll probably send more I really like of the next pages I made, most likely of the RGB Roommates! Can’t wait to see where this little impulse ask of “what if Hyperlaser but no helmet” takes us!)

(//OOC: Hi Redshift! Just a quick lil thing as backlog before my next major post as ThievesGround Anon! Life decided to keep me busy with some irl stuff, which is why I haven’t interacted in a bit than when I started. I’m still cooking that ask and letting my writing go nuts though! Question that I’m curious about: What common factors could affect how physically affectionate Hyperlasers are? Kami is much cuddlier than any other Hyper I’ve ever seen.

Hm... Typically younger Hyperlasers or those who have only just gone through the major fire incident every Hyperlaser seems to get caught in are the more affectionate ones. It certainly helps that you've shown him kindness and expected nothing in return as well.

Hi again Frost! ThievesGround Anon here!

Good news: We’ve got 2 more days until we can take Kami home! Red has been trying to integrate Kami into the house early by giving him house tours via video call every time someone visits (or they make Blue or Green use their phone). I think Kami might memorise and learn to traverse the place blindfolded from how often Red keeps conducting these tours, despite Green’s insistence that it won’t work. (Ironically, Green lets Red call him the most out of everyone: He’s hosted 9 seperate tours on his phone by now.)

Back at home, Toma and Amai have been getting way more excited for Kami to the point that they’ve caused more problems for us so far than Kami ever did BEFORE we got him the paper bag! Amai has almost bumped into or knocked over enough stuff to shave a year or two off Green’s lifespan and Toma has resorted to climbing onto Blue’s lap on long work sessions and holding her hostage for head-pats until her hands get sore. I’m thinking since she visits Kami more often than any of us, she smells like Kami the most, which is what Toma is most likely after. And the rowdiness just applies to Amai and Toma, Kami is doing just fine back at the vet!

As I’m writing this, Green is taping every fragile or spill-able item to their respective tables while downing his fifth coffee (of the day) while Blue is complaining about the gods awful cramps in her hands thanks to Toma. Me and Red don’t have this nearly as rough as they do, so I want to make this week easier for them. What should we do until Kami gets home?

(P.S: Red says hi and thanks for the paper bag idea.)

Oh dear. I'd say see about keeping them distracted for the time being. More play and stuff like that, setting up shows for them to watch--something to keep their minds off of Kami for a little while. Also, hi Red!

Hey, ThievesGround Anon here with some updates. 

Things are still going a little rough for Kami because his discomfort with the clinical setting and staff . (We finally decided on a name! Thought the trend of Amai and Tomari being “i” ending names fit :)) Blue was stuck on calling him Bukuro, to no one’s surprise, but gave in to the Kami agenda soon enough. Nothing serious, this back and forth thing happens regularly.

Now that Kami is staying at the vet (and thus in one place) for the next week to make sure things are okay, things have been going much smoother but not without some really awful findings. At first when we could only spy on Kami, I thought he just didn’t like being touched; And BOY I couldn’t have felt anymore denser than when we found out that ALL of Kami’s “fur patterns” that ran all over his body were actually burn scars. 

Our beanologist at the vet thinks the poor guy got caught in a fire and most likely lost his helmet that way, which sucks because Kami won’t let anyone pick him up because of how sensitive they are. The scars have made monitoring Kami take longer as the staff has to accomodate him with ramps to reach the consulting tables and thicker gloves for his check ups. 

On the bright side, Kami practically dove into the helmet Blue gifted him! She’s been so protective of Kami ever since we found out about the burn scars and has been visiting him regularly in between her job. Red and Green have been joking that we might have to adopt Kami next because of her, but I don’t think anyone minds. :giggle:

Tomari and Amai have also made fast friends with Kami in the vet! (Red and I made sure they had constant supervision and clear restrictions on what they could do with him.) Surprisingly, the first thing that Toma did when we let them into the pen was to slowly approach Kami and take off his own mask (which had the usual X marking and exposed fangs you’ll expect a Katana to be born with), which was really sweet of him! Amai, in turn, tried to plant some healing sprouts which Red had to intervene with (they messed with the worm/pain meds Kami was taking) but I like to think he appreciated the effort.

They ended up in an ADORABLE lil cuddle pile which I have saved on my phone’s home-wallpaper. Toma and Kami looked especially cosy together, which I’m hoping doesn’t lead to beanlings in the future. They can be cute, but we just don’t have the space or energy for anymore beans than our current babies.

Anyways, that should be everything. We have some experience with setting up bean rooms thanks to Amai and Toma, so there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. The vet just gave us the rest of Kami’s meds and some corner protectors in case he bumps into the furniture. Peace out, Frost!

I’ve also noticed you’ve responded so quickly to the asks I’ve sent; Appreciate the speed but PLEASE pace yourself, I’m getting concerned /lh)

I'm glad they're all doing well! Unfortunately Hyperlasers have a pretty big tendency to get caught up in fires, much to the pain of them and everyone around them. Definitely handle that fella with lots of care.

As for the speed, this is a hobby lmao, I do this cause I like to! I just answer asks whenever I check tumblr (which is pretty often granted I'm not in school), so I can assure you it's not overworking me at all. In fact it's quite whimsical for me
