The jury was still out if Faust could be considered a brave person. There were certainly many feats of courage that he wouldn’t be caught doing. At least not without imagining what a gruesome death could follow. But for the sake of learning new things as well as his position, he could convince himself to do some daring things from time to time. Or at the very least, what he considered to be daring. And the Emperor of Tilaren was terrifying in his own right. Or so Faust had heard. He didn’t have enough evidence that he had personally witnessed to really be concerned for his well-being in front of the emperor. At least not yet.
Still, he had a job to do and he would be damned if he didn’t perform to the best of his ability. After he had taken care of the regular business at hand, Faust couldn’t help but offer a tarot reading to the emperor, not entirely expecting he would agree to it. But lo and behold, here he was, shuffling his trust deck of cards and rolling his neck in preparation. Shuffling cards did tend to work as a technique to calm himself down if a little bit. “Now what could it be that Your Highness is curious about that he would want to ask the universe? Insight on some past event in your life? A better understanding of how you are doing right now? Maybe you got a little cutie you have you eye on and want to know how they feel? I can answer it all.” Well almost all of it.
