Hive mind, please help me:

I have a conundrum. I need to finish a fanfic (or two...) but I need to undress one of the female characters but I need help with making period/historical outfit descriptions realistic and accurate. Is there a place for this kind of help?

1. what was the last movie you saw?

the last full movie was american ultra, that i watched w/ my girl lamb. i had already seen it in the cinema with michelle but lamb hadn’t and since we’re both like, “yep, jesse eisenberg, let’s watch this!” we watched it together. OH NO, WAIT! on thursday i went to tarantino’s latest fucking movie w/ suzanne. damn. i forgot that. it was a tarantino movie. if you’re a tarantino fan, you’ll like it. but the rape flashback, racism and general tarantino schtick of the whole thing just made me hate it. . . damn, i wish it had been american ultra.

2. what was the last song you listened to?

lightning bolt by jake bugg was on an advert on TV a minute ago, if that counts. and my brother has been texting me taylor swift lyrics, which probably doesn’t count either but it has been happening. but i think- was it david bowie’s space oddity on the bus home at 1pm? i think it may have been. weird. i generally have music all the time around me but atm i’m watching sportsball so tyler coe’s voice is background noise.

3. what was the last show you watched?

i literally just answered this!!! roosterteeth’s sportsball totally fucking counts even if it’s just a web series! tyler coe wearing jamie benn jerseys, yelling about white christian people being racist, laughing about terrible texan football teams and the irish national sport, hurling, is a wonderful thing and i am binge watching it rn. 

4. what was the last book you read?

oh fuck me. the outsiders by thing bag whatshisface s e hilton -- i had to go and find it to check it -- for the first time. it was meant to be our comparative text for leaving cert english, but then they swapped it to fucking death and nightingales (don’t read it, just don’t waste your time. . . altho the villain has the same name as my dad, so that was hilarious for me) so i never read it but it’s on the list of comparative choices again for this year and my brother’s class chose it so i decided to give it ago. 

5. what was the last thing you ate?

fucking chicken stew that i was making stock for in a mug that shattered in my hand and stabbed my palm so that was brilliant. tbh the stew was good.

6. if you could be anywhere else right now, where would it be?

gonna be sentimental and cheesy but also really honest and say with lamb. all i want to be is with lamb. not that i’m totally unhappy where i am now, but marrying lamb and being with her is the goal.

7. if you could pick a decade to travel back to in time, what would it be?

this is a loaded question. 1. i have a vagina, so most decades in history would be shit for me. 2. i’m 26, so in a lot of decades in history i’d already be in some arranged marriage OR burning at the stake for being unmarried to a man and therefore obviously a witch. 3. i’m not straight soooooooooooo. . . yeah. i’m white tho, so my privilege would be ok, but i’m also irish and catholic and if i go back in time ANYWHERE in my own country’s history, my irish catholic vagina having self is definitely gonna get fucked over by someone else. god, i’m just gonna stay here.

8. if you won the lottery and millions in cash, what would be the first thing you would do?

leave the country and go be with lamb. actually- no, wait, that’s exactly the first thing i’d do. then, depending on how much i won, i’d give some to my parents, some to glen, some to my brother, and some to the youth club cos those kids mean the world to me. then i’d marry lamb whenever she wanted, buy dracula’s castle and set up shop as a reclusive writer there writing mediocre books people read cos someone always reads a book, that i have enough money to keep self publishing until one actually sells well.

9. which fictional character would you like to hang out with for a day?

bucky barnes. james motherfucking buchanan barnes. i will fight people over him. i’d love to just go for a walk and take him to get some pizza, maybe visit an art gallery. 

10. what’s the last fandom you joined?

maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. i’ve been in my fandoms for years. fuck. is a renaissance of potter-character ships feelings in me. . . WAIT, WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT?! it was from dusk til dawn and by “join the fandom” i mean “watch the whole series alone; tell lamb to watch it; rewatch it as she watches it for the first time; cry over my feelings about richie and santanico”. yeaaaaaah. don’t start me on my feelings for rodriguez and from dusk til dawn. good times.
