thingNY | Glue performed at The Tank, February 21, 2013
Glue is a structured improvisation modeled on the Fluxus piece For a Drummer (Fluxversion 1) by George Brecht which asks that a "performer drums with drum sticks or drum brushes over the surface of wet mud or thick glue until brushes or sticks get stuck and can't be lifted." The accompanying ensemble members are each equipped with their primary instrument and an electronic instrument capable of "getting stuck" on its own.
