Bug just watched the Postmodern Jukebox video for Blank Space and was inspired. She found a piece of tissue paper, made her own fan, and copied the dancers. 

After, she asked hubby if she could fan dance after dinner.

We’re such proud parents. *face palm*

Hubby made quesadillas last night and asked Bug if she wanted beans with hers.

Bug: Beans! Beans! Nothing but beans! I let him know I didn't know he had stolen my beans.

Guess what her favorite musical is right now. :p

This morning Bug stuck a handful of (wrapped) candy canes in her mouth and yelled, "Look at me! I'm a Christmas Ood."

Kids are decorating the Christmas tree.

Bug: Wesley! Don't call candy canes Ho-Bows. It's not nice.

Bug & Wes are playing school.

Bug: And this office belongs to Professor Bridget. She's a very extinguished professor.

Bug was playing 'Doctor' with her stuffed animals. After diagnosing them with chicken pox, she gave them special medicine. She came running over to me with an empty Fireball nip container she took from recycling.

"Mommy, this medicine is the best. Bunny's chicken pox are all gone." (Me) "That's good. Uh...don't take that bottle outside this house, ok?" "Why?" (Me) "Because that's an alcohol bottle. You can play pretend with it here." *runs off* "Alcohol is the best medicine!!!"

*Face palm*

Working on a story with a Battle Bots-type backdrop. I needed some names for a few of the bots, so I turned to my children to give me names.

I now have a Robotics War bot named Steve. His weapon is a cattle prod, so he's got that going for him.

The kids were telling my mom what kind of puppy they want.

Wes: I want a beagle so I can hunt with Beep. (My dad.) Bug: I want a puppy just like me. My Mom: Oh? What kind of puppy is that? Bug: One that is hyper and joyful.

For the record, the dog she wants is a fox terrier.
