1991: I already picked The Silence of the Lambs, but my honorable mention goes to Point Break.

2003: This was harder than you might think, but me being me I have to go with The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. But there are a handful of films from this year that are essential to me.

2009: An Education. Carey Mulligan should have an Oscar for her brilliant performance.

2023: Past Lives. Absolutely wrecked me.
