Patient: Here’s what fell out of my mouth. *Holds out hand with onlay*

Me: Let me get a glove.

Pt: Oh, you don’t need a glove.

Me: What?! Of course I do.

Pt: Oh, you young kids. Just grab it.

Me: No way! I’m a germaphobe.

Pt: And you work here. How?

Me: Because I wear gloves.

Pt: Hahahaha! Put your gloves on.

Me: Already did!

My patient just asked me to push his 40mg IV lasix really slowly because the nurses in the ED told him it can cause blindness if pushed too fast. Google has revealed nothing, and my fellow nurses here on the floor with me have never heard of it either.

Any nurblrs out there know anything about this?

"Uh-oh"

I'm 6 episodes into Big and every time Gong Yoo says "uh-oh" it makes me smile! that being said this is how my day went-

My female patients tend to make small talk with me and it usually goes something like this... 

Her: "do you have kids?" ME: "no!" Her: "are you married?" ME: "no!" her: "enjoy being single!!"

Today, a male patient made small talk with me and this is how it went: 

Him: "do you have kids?" ME: "no!" Him: "are you married?" ME: "no!" Him: "uh-oh". first of all i was totally speechless!! Seriously what do you say to that?!? And my second thought was "aww he sounded just like BIG". lol 

and now i'm gonna watch more Big on dramafever :)
