ThinK-12 Learning Encourages Collaborative Innovation via MakerSpace

Over the course of his decade-long career in education, Peter Fardig has worked to integrate innovative teaching methods and materials to increase students’ classroom engagement. As president of ThinK-12 Learning, Peter Fardig guides efforts to improve nationwide academic achievement through the development of educational curricula and technologies.

Recently, ThinK-12 Learning has focused its activities on STEM education. While creating enriching programs in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math, it has assisted schools across the United States in effectively developing and using MakerSpace websites. MakerSpace.com is an online community created by Maker Media, a comprehensive global platform of products, services, and events aimed at fostering creativity and innovation. As the publisher of MAKE magazine and host of the annual Maker Faire, Maker Media encourages fellow makers to draw on their curiosity and resourcefulness to launch projects that revolutionize our daily interactions.

MakerSpace offers an opportunity for makers to connect and share their projects with one another. It presents a variety of new tools to facilitate project organization and is designed to drive collaboration among experts from various sectors. The resource not only allows individuals to seek partners for their own smaller projects but also helps larger teams expand their networks to reach their goals.

About Peter Fardig

Peter Fardig began his professional track in educational administration during his undergraduate education at the State University of New York at Geneseo with a major in Elementary Education. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Mr. Peter Fardig earned his master of education with a focus in school leadership at the University of Massachusetts. Mr. Fardig went on to serve as a math and science educator for grades K-8, and later as an assistant principal and STEM program coordinator. Believing that applied educational curriculum and reliable research methodologies are crucial to student success, Peter Fardig established ThinK-12 Learning in order to provide K-12 educational institutions with a turnkey data analysis solution for tracking the progress of curricular and extracurricular programs. By providing administrators with project-based analysis reports in alignment with state and national educational standards, ThinK -12 Learning seeks to help school and district leaders focus funding and curricular analyses on key areas.
