An avid fisherman, Peter Fardig enjoys fishing for salmon in New York, striped bass in Maine, and tarpon in Florida. For some, fishing provides a relaxing escape, while for others, it serves as a competitive outlet. In either case, the types of fish you catch will vary according to the type of water in which you fish. Catfish, bass, and trout reside in freshwater, and respond well to worms and minnows. Depending on the species of freshwater fish, you will need anywhere between a 6- and 60-pound test line to support your catch. Flounder, redfish, and tarpon swim in saltwater and bite on shrimp and synthetic baits. Saltwater catches require greater line strength of between 12- and 100-pound test. In addition to having plenty of line, baits, and hooks, you will want to carry needle-nose pliers in your tackle box for unhooking fish.
As the president and CEO of ThinK-12 Learning, LLC, Peter Fardig leads a Carlisle, Massachusetts, curriculum company that is currently engaged in developing STEM enrichment programs for the K-12 public education market. Peter Fardig works to implement innovative educational content and teaching methodologies across the United States as CEO and president of ThinK-12 Learning. Additionally, Peter Fardig serves on the board of Carlisle Kids House. Located in Carlisle, Massachusetts, Carlisle Kids House aims to create an enriching atmosphere for children from prekindergarten to junior high, providing a variety of fun, educational activities in a comfortable environment. Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, the nonprofit school is overseen by the parents of its students and combines teacher-led programming with interest-guided free time. STEM Education Challenges
The president of ThinK-12 Learning, LLC, Peter Fardig, is also the chief executive officer of the Massachusetts-based company. As such, he leads initiatives to boost educational curricula that incorporate real-world scenarios. Currently, Peter Fardig is working on STEM enrichment programs to support public education curricula. An acronym for “science, technology, engineering, and mathematics,” STEM is a type of education necessary for creating future leaders and innovators. While STEM education is viewed as a priority in education, there remains a decline in students receiving the proper resources to learn about these subject areas. In a survey conducted by the STEM Education Coalition, the primary reason for lack of STEM education is resources. In the future, the void in STEM education may become a hindrance for adults who seek employment in an age when technology is largely driven by how people perform their jobs and live their daily lives. However, the interest in learning about STEM fields exponentially declined in high school students.

Peter Fardig began his professional track in educational administration during his undergraduate education at the State University of New York at Geneseo with a major in Elementary Education. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Mr. Peter Fardig earned his master of education with a focus in school leadership at the University of Massachusetts.
